We booked a room which had one queen and a single bed, however arrived to find we had 2 single beds pushed together. The receptionist questioned our booking asking had we booked direct (no idea why this matters) we had a print out of the booking therefore showed her this, stating clearly our room type. She then said they would fix it while we waited. However this entailed putting double sheets on the 2 single beds!! I explained this wasn't acceptable and she said they'd tried but hadn't access so late to the double mattress they use on 2 singles.
I'm not sure why they didn't just tell us this. I insisted on another room and we were given one with.... 2 singles made to a double (at least with a top mattress). During this time, probably 45 minutes we eat at the bar.
The wine was 1/10 - it was recommended by the waiter, I give it the 1 because it was red. The food was poor.
As in other reviews the corridors are VERY noisy so late revellers will wake you up.
Positives - breakfast is good value, rooms big enough and staff pleasant and nice
- Free Parking
