Been here less than 24 hours and love it. Booked the Borocay but upon arriving, found we were upgraded to a room with a loft. Balcony at front overlooking a narrow street off of which many locals reside. Back balcony overlooks an enclosed patio that opens from the ground floor common area with kitchenette. Everything is decorated with a far eastern theme, beautiful. I will edit after this trip is over, to add info on tours we take, dining and shopping. If you like laid back and quiet, low season is my advice (Nov through Mar) Giving some initial ratings, more to follow

Both my husband and I spent a wonderful New Year at LVM. We found the hotel earlier this year and have returned several times since. What makes us go back, everything that makes your holiday special and full of good memories Marcos Ben and the team go out of their way to make it happen. No praise is high enough for this little oasis in Marbella and beyond

Having had a great time the previous New Year we (me, my wife, our 21 year old son, and my brother in law) ventured back to La Villa Marbella again. Again we were not disappointed with either the hotel or Marbella at this time of year. Marcos and the team at La Villa Marbella were as always very welcoming and always looking to help to make our stay the best. I really am running out of great things to say about the hotel, and the dedicated service of the team, without continuously repeating myself, but it really is a special place any time of year. We will be back again in March!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Cherating Room - a large room with outside jacuzzi on the terrace. And the Palawan...

There are few hotels i have stayed in where i have found the same level of customer experience. I don't mean whether the staff smile or are helpful but the whole package. Every single member of staff could not have been more dedicated to achieving this, it was far, far above even some of the best five star hotels. Whether it was a member of staff getting in the car to direct me to the car park, the warmth of the welcome, the service at breakfast, the help in finding an ideal restaurant, the immediacy of offering an even later check out than i had asked for. Everything..

The hotel is boutique, the room (Shanghai to get the hot tub) perfectly decent, although the outside patio is a bit overlooked and doesn't have the most attractive view). Ordering breakfast the day before, unusual but hardly an inconvenience. Physically there are better boutique hotels,. there are more beautiful ones, there are better bedrooms, (though the hotel is very pretty, well maintained and in a charming part of the old town and I am not faulting it at all) but i challenge you to find better staff.

I strongly recommend you try here.

Just don't try and drive to the hotel itself (bit of a nightmare or could have been the Satnav) get directions to a car park which is about a two minute walk away

Room Tip: Shanghai has its own balcony and tub.

Stayed here on new year's eve.
Brilliant, friendly, superb hotel.
Had a wonderful meal nearby, recommended, and booked by the hotel.
The staff are so helpful.
Fantastic party in Orange square.
We were upgraded to the Goa suit, just in case we were disturbed by the partying nearby. What more can you say!
Well recommended Hotel!

After reviewing many properties for our pre Xmas December short break, we decided upon Villa Marbella and were not disappointed. We loved the location in the old town, with great restaurants, bars and shopping in strolling distance. The room was delightful with every comfort supplied, and even a roof terrace to relax after a days outing. Manager Marco was a font of local knowledge and took the time to make sure we got the best out of our stay and all of his staff went out of their way to make us welcome.

Room Tip: Langkawi is a lovely room with a nice roof terrace, and if there are three of you Mandalay next door...
