We arrived quite exhausted in Marbella after travelling through Andalusica, not too sure what Marbella would be like, the hotel set the standard for a wonderful four day experience. LVM offers a personalized service, tailor made breakfast to your taste, DVD library, recomendations for restaurant, cafe's, bars. The Villa's decor and ambience made you feel like you were staying in Bali rather than Marbella. Perfect location for walking and exploring Marbella. Only complaint we had was some noisy British guests making use of the terrace late at night rather than heading to bars. Can't wait to return!

I am so thankful that I found this place and chose it. I was exhausted by the time I arrived and it was so wonderful to land somewhere that felt friendly, safe and clean. All the good reviews were right on with this place. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the staff was wonderful and genuinely friendly, and the location was nice. Convenient parking was a short walk away, as was the beach and other spots in old town Marbella. I hope this place retains all of its good qualities, especially the high-quality staff who make it what it is. This hotel really is a gem in Marbella.

We originally booked the Hanoi room which the website said had a balcony but didnt. We then moved to the Goa room on 2nd floor which was much better. Hanoi room was also on street level and beside the main door which banged loudly so avoid booking this room, worth booking and the breakfast was great as was Ben and the other staff.

La Villa Marbella remains one of our favourite places because of the attentiveness of the people, the cleanliness of the place and the great advice for a good holiday. we discovered another great restaurant (Skina) in the Old Town thanks to Marcos and his team and once again enjoyed the experience of staying at LVM. Marcos now has rooms with Jacuzzis, rooms with terraces and nice suites, but the real deal here is the overall experience. He just makes you feel special. We even managed to go and see the formula one tesing together at Jerez! :)

Great personal and welcoming service from Marcos, his wife and Boli made this an excellent holiday in Marbella. We stayed in the Banyan room, the top floor of a three floor converted spanish house in a charming traditional quiet street in the heart of the old town. The room was very comfortable - better than most hotel rooms that we have stayed in, although the sloping roof did mean you had to watch you head at times. Breakfast was on the terrace of the main house and was excellent. Al fresco in February did require the convenient patio heater to keep temperatures comfortable. It was a great location to walk aroud Marbella with excellent restaurants and small shops.

The weather was unusually mixed and Marcos and Boli helped with tips about where to go on our days out and recommeded some wonderful restaurants.

We were informed well in advance of our trip that the penthouse room that we had originally booked was unavailable that weekend and we were offered the Banyan room instead, which was great. Marcos treated us to a free meal in the nearby Michelin Star restaurant - Skina - which is a small (about 14 covers) but fabulous restaurant nearby. If you like good food book early as it does get fully booked. We also had two great meals out at the Orange Tree restaurant near the main square in the old town - including a Valentines evening special that was superb.

We had a hire car and Marcos gave us great directions (on line) on how to get there. It is worth asking for directions as the parking is difficult to find if you are a stranger to Marbella and the maps and directions on the websites are not that helpful and a bit out of date. Boli gave us a great tip about the parking, and came with me to help me buy a multi day ticket - we bought one for 5 days costing about £35 euros, instead of paying 20 euros a day.

I would recommend this for couples or small families wanting a quite / romantic place to stay in Marbella.

Many thanks Marcos. We will be back in October - i hope.
