My wife to be and I stayed in this hotel for 12 days at the end of June beginning of July. We loved it, the staff were very helpful, the room was clean with air con, towels were changed when you wanted them to be, room had a fridge that's very usefull this time of year. We were on the 3rd floor street side so we had the sun in the evening.

Very good hotel, central to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. Entrance is on the street so make sure you know where you are going if you are dropped oof, there is nowhere to park.
Our room was on the 2nd floor overlooking the street, we had a small balcony which held 2 chairs and a table. On occasions it could could be noisy but not excessively.
We did not opt for Bed and Breakfast but we had a small dated kitchenette with a fridge. Fridge was very efficient and kept everything cold.
The room had an airconditioning unit which I felt was in the wrong place, would have been better for it to be in a central position in the room.
There were plenty of drawers to store your clothes but be warned they are not very ddep. The wardrobe has hangers but it is not very good for hanging long dresses as the shelf and the safe get in the way. The safe is an extra cost but well worth getting.
The room was visited every day, the beds were changed once while we where for 7 days and the towels were changed when you requested.
The reception staff were very helpful and made telephone calls for us when we had problems with our transfer and a card being retained by a machine.

We have visited this area every year for the last 10 years and stayed in numerous hotels around here. This hotel is now one of our favourites and we would have no hesitation in going back here. It was very clean and the staff were very friendly. We stayed on the 3rd with an inside view which looked out onto the courtyard. Initially we were disappointed that we did not have a sea view room, we did ask to upgrade but they were full. The room we were given was good, very clean, spacious and we had clean towels every day. The room had air con and a fridge. The first morning our air con was leaking water so we reported this to reception on our way out for breakfast. By the time we returned an hour later it was fixed. This is an excellent little hotel bang in the middle of the bustling village. We will be back!

We stayed here for a weeks break after it was recommended by friends who go to carihuela a lot and stayed for a short break in April, the hotel is on the Main Street just off the seafront and has both street or sea views we had a street view and it was fine. There is air conditioning a mini fridge and safe in room etc, the tv has only one English Channel CNN ! Lol but most people don't go away to watch TV, the hotel could do with hiring kettles and cups etc as most places don't open early for coffee etc, the hotel has a roof top with a couple of sunbeds and chairs with great views for customers to use which we did not know about but found it as we were on the 3rd floor! Staff were friendly and hotel was clean we only use it as a base and to sleep so we was happy overall. We would go back to both this hotel and deffo la carihuela it is a lovely part of the costa del sol!

The Mediterraneo is right on the paseo in La Carihuela,, slap bang in the middle of everything. We usually favour apartment stays which was the only reason, in all our time visiting La Carihuela that we never got around to staying here. However, as this visit was only for 4 days we decided to give it a try. I'm so glad we did. The bedroom was spotless and the bathroom was a good size with ample supplies of towels. The decor is typically Andalucian with good quality furniture and comfortable beds. A pleasant surprise when we opened one of the presses was the little kitchenette hidden behind ! However, if this is a necessity for you make sure you request in advance as I believe not all rooms have these facilities. The balcony was a good size with comfortable wicker patio furniture. The view of course is the selling point and to wake up and see the glistening waves just a few metres from your bed is a wonderful sight. Reception staff were always helpful and polite. The hotel offer three room categories, sea view rooms, street view rooms and courtyard view rooms. The court yard rooms don't have balconies, just large windows that face an internal courtyard. I'm so glad that we have another super spot to add to our accommodation list for La Carihuela.

Room Tip: If you like the sound of the ocean then a sea view is a must.

first the good points lashings of hot water clean and bed comfortable but my room had the worst view ever i did not have a sea view nor a balcony over looking the town view In fact i had no balcony at all
The view from my window looked on to some flat roof containing the usual array of discarded strip lighting old broken tables and chairs very depressing(we have all seen this at some time) i asked to be moved but they said they were full It really spoilt my holiday i like to it on the balcony and have a drink my airport vodka i bought on the way out has come back with me unopened I had to be out of the hotel just to get any glimpse of sunshine sorry but i would not stay again I feel they should have paid me to stay in that room

Room Tip: insist on a room with a balcony do i have a photo? i wish.........

The hotel has the perfect location, by the beach, close to shops and restaurants. We paid 30 euros a night for 3 nights. In the room, we had a little kitchenette. The internet was free and working perfectly in the lobby only. The staff was great, we had a problem with the fridge once and the guy fixed it in the minut we told him. There's no parking althought, 300 meters away, there is the public parking that is free and where you can park for days. (during the day, you might pay the parking guy, but we arrived late evening and the man wasn't there, so we never paid a dime). Honestly, that is the best value we found so far.
