Alexis C
We had another wonderful holiday at the Don Paquito in Torremolinos, this is the third time we have been to this hotel, and each time it is better than the last. The hotel is spotless be it the rooms, restaurant, or reception, all the staff are very friendly and can't do enough to make your holiday a great experience.

This time we booked through lowcostholidays.com and found that was very easy, everything done on one website much better than going from site to site booking everything seperately, will definately use them again.

We have just returned from a 4 night stay in this lovely little hotel. We were given a room overlooking the pool as we requested, so that was a good start. Our room was spacious and everwhere was clean. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. We found the food to be
of good quality and our mealtimes were always relaxed and pleasant. It was lovely to sit out on the terrace to eat on several occasions.
We had no problem with noise from the nearby bars as some reviews have mentioned. We found the room fairly quiet and the hotel in a good location. It was within easy walking distance of the town and railway station, although the town is uphill! We did find the lift up there though!
All in all we had a fantastic short break here and would happily return.

Room Tip: rooms overlooking the pool get the afternoon sun

Stayed here in Oct. 2011, and found it was an excelent small but basic Hotel. The one outstanding memory, was the very friendly staff. This is so important, and is really rare in Spain nowadays. The reception and catering staff were the best we have experienced for a very long time. The food was fine, the rooms adequate, the location quite good. My only complaint was the noise from the adjacent Bar situated in the side street beside the pool. Here noisy revellers shouted and partied into the small hour, the Poor people in the Don Paquito across the road having difficulty getting to sleep, many with young children. Would definately stay again here, FRIENDLY STAFF....... thats the secret to a good hotel. Take note Spain.

Room Tip: Get high room well away noisy Theresas Bar.

Stayed for another holiday at this hotel as we have always found it very quiet, excellent staff, great food, very clean etc.
This time it seemed this quiet relaxing hotel had been turned into a local haunt for travelling Scots. No disrespect to them at all or any British person. Seemed very odd to have so many there. Is prices cheaper in that country just now?
Happy hour - buy one get one free drinks was stowed out and we struggled to get seated and with only 1 waiter on they struggled to keep up with serving and giving good service. We decided after a feww nights of this just to miss it out and go to the local where it was quiet again.
Breakfast/Dinner is buffet style in which the guests just seemed to eat like they have never been fed. Was quite unpleasant at times the greed of people.
The hotel wasn`t fully booked either so it shows that this hotel which usually caters for a lot of 1nights business people has turned into a prime destination.
Remember its only a 3 star hotel. Its great when its quiet but when its busy(hopefully a one off)its too manic and can be a bit of a put off.

Room Tip: ask for a pool view. rooms are only at the front - facing the road in which you only get a few hours of morning sunshine the your in the shade or at the rear which is facing the pool and you get the sun there as well till around 18.00.

Just back from a week at the Don Paquito staying half board. We enjoyed the stay in the hotel. the best thing about the hotel was the food. The hotel itself is very basic and is quite rightly only a 3 star. I can't see how it could be a 4 star as some people have suggested, because it is basic and does not have many facilities. Rooms are OK but basic, food good and staff friendly.
One critisism I do have is that on the day we were leaving early in the morning I tried to have a shower, but the water was very cold and I was unable to have a shower. This was really annoying when you have a long day of travelling to do. The hotel is small, so there is no entertainment in the hotel. Overall good basic hotel for the price paid and would stay again if the price was OK.

Room Tip: Pool side have afternoon sun.
