We were booked into Don Pedro, where we had been twice before but it was closed because of under occupation so we were moved to Don Pablo which is a bit of a monstrosity from outside: 11 floors, lowest of which is the restaurant. All meals are buffet style and there must be something for every taste for every meal, separate buffets for starter, main and dessert and the breakfast equivalents. Varied entertainment all day and evening, from shuffleboard and darts to flamenco. The only caveat is that during the winter months, say Nov to Mar, the even-numbered rooms only get sun on their balcony for about 30 mins max in early morning so ask for an odd number on seventh or eighth floor. As with most of the hotels of this vintage, the sound-proofing between bedrooms could be better!

Room Tip: See above: odd numbers as high as possible if you want sun on your balcony.

I have just returned from the Don Pablo after spending over 2 weeks at it. I have stayed in quite a few hotels in the area and I would definitely recommend this one. Our room on the 6th floor had side views over the sea and towards Malaga. The room itself was good, very comfortable beds and a good power shower, we also had a fridge at no extra charge, I know some hotels charge for this privilege, if you wished it stocked with drinks then you filled in a slip. The food here was excellent and always a varied choice and the staff were always polite and friendly, especially the restaurant manager. We enjoyed a glass of wine during the happy hour (5-6.30pm) The entertainment at the hotel was good and varied. They have an indoor pool. There was some refurbishment going on whilst we were there but it didn't bother us as we wouldn't have been in the outdoor anyway and they did have the pool at the Pedro open if you were brave enough to use it in January. The Don Pedro and the Don Marco are all within the grounds of the Pablo and I would imagine they are all of an equal standard. We had booked the Pedro and as it was closed we were put into the Pablo but we were happy with this. I met a few people that had been returning to this hotel for years and I hope to return again.

Room Tip: Higher rooms should give a sea view

Only stayed 1 night after a week long trip of the Andalusian Region. It's a really big hotel, mainly occupied by seniors during this low season. We booked for another hotel in the same complex but were put in Don Pablo, no complaints. Exceptionally the parking was free. Very convenient and easy to enter and exit with the room key card. Internet was also free but only from the lobby area. There's a 6 euro per day charge when using wifi from your room. Breakfast was good. Very, very big dining area....I can imagine this being very busy while in full swing.

My family and I have just spent the most idyllic week here in Torre. The weather has been great, 17-20 degrees during the day, get sheltered from the breeze and it's hot. Cool in the evening, jackets required. This hotel is lovely, clean and with loads of common space out doors and in. It has many out door pools and one indoor. Upgrading on some pools taking place. The hotel is in a great location across the main road from the beach, where there are bars and resturants are plenty ful and all on the flat. Stairs or a lift not far from the hotel will take you up to the main town, where many nice shops bars clubs and eateries can be found. We were half board and the food is buffet. The food was great, fresh and loads of choice, no disappointments from the five of us. Rooms are a good size, cleaned everyday and beds were comfy. Ask for an east facing room, odd numbers, as the west facing rooms get really hot as they have the sun all day, plus the east rooms have a better view, we were on the eighth floor. As I sit here in the sun on our departure day I can honestly say it's been a pleasure and I will return.
