“Efficient But Somewhat Impersonal”
Reviewed 24 August 2014

We stayed here for 10 nights on our recent holiday and have to say that it was a very positive and pleasant experience. The hotel was modern and comfortable with a large welcoming foyer and rooms that were large and well appointed. The beds were also quite comfortable - although twin rather than double beds available.

indeed I have to say that the whole experience was good .... except that it was all a little impersonal. No one asked us throughout our entire stay how we were getting on, were we enjoying our stay, or whether there was anything that we needed/wanted! Breakfast was served in a large dining room each morning and considering that they were catering for such large numbers, it was an exercise in efficiency! The food was self service , plentiful and fresh - however the noise from the constant movement of chairs was amplified by the low ceiling and marble floors and was sometimes a little loud.

For those of you not familiar with Torremolinos, the beach area is separated from the town by several sets of steep steps and a public lift (nominal charge of 30c each way . The hotel provides another lift service up to the town (for 50c) but closes at 8pm which was very early for those of us who wanted to taste the night life offered by the town.

Last piece of advice - there is a bank of 3 lifts to each floor - ask for a room away from these as in such a large hotel, the lifts are going night and day!

My wife & I stayed for 6nights in July on B&B basis booked through British Airways. The hotel is well located near bars & restaurants plus the beach is opposite. THe centre of Torre is up hill but you can get a left most of the way but the climb is not to bad with many shops etc to lok at on the way up. The hotel is large but the front of house service is really goods. WE had a standard room that was more than adequate with a comfy bed plenty of cupboards plus a free safe. there is also a mini bar with room for your own water etc plus a decent television although only two English channels. The bathroom was good with modern taps and plenty of decent towels. The morning breakfast was more than adequate with something for everyone. The fresh fruit selection inb particular was very good. Note our BA flight & hotel was cheaper than Monarch and £20.0 more than Easy jet. But with BA you get 23 kilos plus fee drinks and a snack that would cost both ways on Easy jet of at least £40.00. I think we get sucked in by so called low cost operators that in reality are know different than the legacy carriers. I would stay again at this hotel without question.

Room Tip: make ure you have a seaview but think that all rooms have that

Green Features: They will only change the towells if you leave in the bath similar to most hotels.

Stayed in this hotel twice. Its very good. This time we treated ourselves to s suite. The balcony is superb , it enormous with great sea views, sunbeds and tables and chairs. There are 2 rooms both with tv, which you can change the language to english on some channels. We got free wifi. The breakfast is on til 11am if you fancy s lie in. Food great, but not much in the way of entertainment so we had to head out.If I must, I would say the furniture could be up to a higher standard, wardrobe door a bit wonky, and the fridge handle was the key! Not so grest for a suite. Why oh why do Spanish hotel not provide tea making .Last point although all rooms have sea views its a side view and a lot are in the shade, so no sun. If you want sun get a suite.

Room Tip: Aif you want a great view and plenty of sun on the balcony get a suite, otherwise its a bit hit and...

Green Features: Sorry did not notice very much about this just the usual to re use towels and bathroom toiletries to a minimum. I'm sure they would be involved in the environment as the hotel is of a superior standard to most in the area.

I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights, I went half board which was nice as I only then had to eat lunch out however the dinner was very similar each night which was the only thing that let half board down. I had a lovely room with sea view and balcony which had lovely views of the swimming pool and beech, The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming.
I would say this is almost a perfect hotel the only real downsides are the dinner if you book half board and the swimming pool is quite small for the size of the hotel but the beech is only just across the road.

A lovely hotel, good food and friendly staff. We had a lovely room with side
sea view but the carpet let it down with a lot of staining. A quick rub of a shampooer wouldn't have gone astray.
Nice location across from the beach. A lot of climbing up to torremolinos centre, but the hotel has a lift that will bring you most of the way and you pay 50cent.
The train station is in the main square of torremolinos and will take you to Malaga for €4.00 return. There is a big shopping outlet between torremolinos and malaga called the Plaza Mayor it's worth a visit.
