“Lot better than expected”
Reviewed 8 July 2012

Scoured the Internet for a holiday within my budget, and this one fitted the bill. Read the good views and the bad and decided to try it for myself. Train from the airport was a doddle and at a cost of €1.60 saved me a taxi fare. Rooms extremely clean, restaurant your normal all inclusive food and queues, pool nice BUT ..... Not enough sun beds, beer served in wine glasses, staff that don't smile BUT ........ In the town centre (ideal if you're self catering), sunshine all day, seriously think folks should weigh up what they want from a holiday. Me , the sun shone, I got fed and watered all day and didn't spend a fortune

When we initially booked this hotel, i read up on reviews and thought surely people must be being fussy yet was still a little apprehensive. However on arrival, was pleasantly suprised by the look of the hotel - beautifully modern and spacious, it is a very large hotel. I am still here now currently writing this review.

Now, the room sizes are okay. However there are nowhere near enough sunbeds for the amount of people at the hotel it´s ridiculous. Staff at reception are miserable and have no idea of the phrase ´customer service´. My mobile phone and camera were stolen from my room, nobody had access to the room apart from the cleaning staff who were literally now two doors down when i returned to my room to find they had gone.

Reception staff couldnt care less when this was reported and wouldnt even give us a phone number for the police, we were told that they trust all their staff and we were instructed to just go and find the police station - 2 young females alone. There is physically nowhere my belongings could have disappeared and nobody else had access to the room apart from the cleaning staff. I was unable to work out how to use the safe so my camera and phone (which had only been left for 2 hours) were away in a drawer - and were not there when i returned.

My aunt had not long before seen these two maids talking to a man, when we questioned them about this they said there was no man and suddenly had no skills to speak english
Food is okay, nothing really to moan or rave about.
Brilliant location however, right in the centre.
Book at your own risk!

If you're looking for a hotel close to the beach and still want access to the train service for shopping and sight seeing, this hotel's location is pretty good. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby if you want to get out of the hotel, however if you have small children and use a buggy, you may need to utilise the elevator service down to the beach at a price of half a euro per person. The view from the roof pool is amazing and it also has a small gym up there which is decent enough for a daily workout.
We travelled half board so we had a breakfast and dinner buffet. This was adequate however we found ourselves going out to eat anyway for some variation. They supply drinks from a machine with breakfast. Orange juice, tropical or water are the only cold option and they tasted so sweet, we had to dilute them with water and it still tasted horrible. They switch the machine off at dinner so you have to buy drinks (even water) with your meal. 2 euros will get you 200ml of Pepsi.
The reception area boasts a very classy looking piano bar and lounge and entertainment is advertised but we only saw any on one night and it was definitely geared toward the elderly customers.
The rooms are a decent size and beds are comfortable but you'll probably miss your own pillows as the hotels are rubbish. Each room has a balcony and ours had a sea view which was mostly blocked by another building.
The hotel itself is very modern, clean and tidy. The dining room and cleaning staff are very friendly, efficient and do a very good job. The reception staff on the other hand, were not very welcoming and didn't appear to really care whether we visited their hotel again. Overall a nice hotel but not somewhere I'd go twice. Very average.

Room Tip: As there are buildings blocking the sea view, you may need a higher floor to benefit from it.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. During a heat wave of 40 degrees at 7pm - no air conditioning. We were all inclusive and most guests in this hotel were complaining at reception on a daily basis. Beer was issued in a small wine glass, wine itself was undrinkable and water was charged at 1.80 euro for a small bottle. It was madness in the restaurant, having to queue for every meal in unsufferable heat. This hotel is vastly understaffed - only one chef cooking fresh meat/fish. This resulted in raw pork being issued on one occasion. This hotel is being run on a shoestring budget with no thought to the comfort of guests. Management were not interested in any complaints. Great pride is a cerificate outside the dining area stating trip adviser gives this hotel a 4* rating - I would not even give it minus 4.

Room Tip: Go to a diffefrent hotel

First impressions hotel nice, room nice ,food was average choice was limited, have stayed in 3* where food has been better. Arrived late at night missed dinner no offer of a cold meal, so asked if we could have dinner on our last day, as flight was not until 10pm, young lady on reception simply said no and was quite rude, this was the first time we have not been offered this service, as they always have done in other hotels in Torremolinos. We asked for late check out 6pm and was charged 50 euros the most we have paid in the past was 30 euros. We will not stay at this hotel again .
