“One Night Stay”
Reviewed 15 February 2014

Our room was above the hotel entrance on the 3rd floor, quite noisy with coaches loading and unloading, although it had a balcony it was overlooked as it was near the corner(inner). Room was spacious with large bed, decor was fine, but with old fashioned square tubed TV. Bathroom was compact with old styled shower over very slippery bath, no bath mats and extremely small bath towel. Hotel is in a great location for Beach, Shops and Restaurants and Train to Airport (only 5 mins). Parking is 15€ per day and 11€ per 24hr for WiFi. Breakfast was OK, coffee dispensed by machine. This should be a 3 Star hotel.

Room Tip: Room 326 a corner suite not the best view nor very private

I chose this hotel as it was the closest to the railway station (1.75euros from airport). The rooms are very dated but adequate and the bathrooms have a bath which is unusual these days. The lobby and other areas have been refurbished and are nice and modern. Unfortunately, they only open the nice lounge/bar at weekends when the Spanish arrive, the rest of the week, at night, there is no entertainment and people congregate in the cafe/bar area which has as much appeal as a service station. Most of the staff were polite apart from Jose Antinio, one of the barmen, was rude and obnoxious. The food was OK, nothing special but just OK. We stayed half board and I was glad I wasnt all inclusive as the beer was served in a small wine glass!! How ridiculous is that? The walls and patio doors are not soundproofed so you can hear cars from the road and your neighbour snoring. Unsure whether I would visit again or recommend this hotel.

My second trip to this hotel in 6 months, with another booking already made for May. Great location, very good food, clean rooms, helpful staff and tremendous value - perfect place for a cheap winter/spring break.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the square tend to be quieter.

Even though the temperatures in Torre were not too summery, the rooftop glass enclosed poll added a recreational high to a decent room, a sunny balcony and a great breakfast service. Would be even better in spring/summer.

This hotel is situated very close to shops, bars, restaurants and about 400yards from train station. Our room was on 1st floor with great view of pool. All inclusive good with everything you could want for soft drinks, hot and cold snacks, alcohol and water. Restaurant food excellent quality, great variety, unlimited bottles of wine with meals. Hotel livens up at weekends with locals, gives a great atmosphere. Made some great friends, had a great week, would gladly return. Great price with LowCostHolidays.com.

The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly if they were treated with the respect they deserve for all their hard work.
The hotel itself was spotlessly clean and tidy with comfortable beds.
The food was the usual sort of buffet service, with a good selection, although the dining room was slightly disorganised and we felt we had to walk a lot between each type of food station, especially at breakfast time. The food was hot and varied. Christmas lunch was excellent for fish and seafood lovers, but somewhat disappointing for meat only eaters. The rest of the meals were suitable for most palates. The snack bar had the best snacks we have seen on an all inclusive break.
The main criticism, especially on our first evening, 23 December, was the queue for the lifts (we were on the top floor!) There was also a long queue to get into the dining room once a table became free.
Also, on our first evening there was a 20 minute queue to get a drink at the one bar that was open. (Each customer limited to two all inclusive drinks, per visit to the bar.) However, during the remainder of our stay, the second bar was open in the evening and no queuing was necessary.
Despite it's reputation, Torremolinos was actually a very, quiet, pretty place to walk around and the hotel was only a short, but fairly steep, walk down to the beach and it's lovely promenade with plenty of coffee and eating places.
Lovely place in the winter, but not sure what it would be like in the height of summer!

Room Tip: Top floor rooms were quieter and away from the smokers on the patio area. We had room at the rear o...
