Couldn't complain... Stayed here for 4 night recently and was very pleasantly surprised. We had a studio room on the top floor 11. Lifts were never busy so no problem being on top floor And excellent views.

Rooms were basic with everything you would need, beds were not the most comfortable but what we expected. Small kitchen was clean and had kettle toast pans ect.

Balcony had a great sea/pool view it seemed that most rooms would have this view.
I must say I didn't use the hotel to eat or drink.

Pool area was clean and relaxing all the children seemed to be having loads of fun, kids club looked entertaining and a bouncy castle was put out each dAy. Sun loungers were 2 euro a day which I liked as you didn't hVe to get up extra early to get one, only people wanting to use one got one instead of people saving sunbeds alday and not using them as I have seen before.if you didn't want to pay for a subbed there was plenty of grass area to lay on a towel.

In my opinion the main benifit of this hotel is location, some many lovely places to eat and not expensive. Shopping eating and drinking in the area is excellent. A short walk to the marina full of restaurants bars shops and boat trips. Plenty to do and see. I would say this is very much a family area.

I was very please with this hotel and would return for another short break. Also only 20 mins in a taxi from the airport.

Tip - try the fat fajita, right outside the hotel for lovely food and drinks and great service.

Room Tip: Ask for pool view.

although this hotel is located ideally on the beach front ,it lets itself down badly by its condition ,the whole hotel feels and looks like something from the 70's ,its dark poorly maintained and dated .the fact that you have to pay for a sunbed by the pool after spending over a grand to stay there is just HUNGRY on the owners part ,,we had a 2 bed appartment ,the shower was over the center of the bath facing across it ,meaning a very tight area for a shower ,everything in the room was worn out and dated ,worst of all do was the tiny sliding bolt on the front door to act as a security latch ,,,,as usual do the staff saved the holiday ,all friendly helpful and in good form the whole time ,,the food was good BUT i couldnt in all honesty recomend that anyone spend their hard earned cash on a week in this hotel ,there is better ones all around it for the same money ,,once the prefix SOL meant quality, not anymore i'm afraid

We cannot fault in any way the service and hotel, it catered for all guests from the 'pool sunbathers' to the ones like us that do everything. Really great week.
Nice place, great view, kids really loved it.
Great location - we looked at all the other hotels in the area on our wanderings, and thought
this was the best in all ways especially with kids in tow.
The staff were very courteous and helpful at all times.

Please note that we lost our camera with our photos on it - we think we left it in a taxi so if
anyone finds it - if u send us the sim card with our photos on it, I will send you the charger and leads for it as a reward. philpark@eircom.net

Room Tip: High floor - sea view worth the price.

Myself & my daughter stayed at the apartments for a week, the positives, the location was great it sits opposite the beach, marina 5 minutes with nice bars & restaurants. In the room the aircon was brilliant we had it on all the time it was a godsend. Now the negatives the room was dark very old 70's decor, the shower dribbled out, it felt dirty but it wasn't it is just old! the kitchen very basic with very few cooking items. The balcony was small & cramped. Also the beds are so uncomfortable with brown stains down the side. The old sunbeds you had to pay for by the pool I never heard of this! We always went to the beach. If you are on a budget & are not to fussy then go there then you wont be disappointed. I wouldn't recommend these apartments.

Room Tip: Try to choose a sea view

we stayed in a studio apartment with a side view to the sea and the port, the room had every convenience and was spotlessly clean very close to all the restaurants and a short taxi ride to The Carrafour main supermarket where we did our shop for the week I would highly recommend.

Room Tip: Low floors are more convenient

Just returned from 1 week stay at sol timor. 4 adults and 2 children. Had two 1 bedroom apartments on this ocassion which suited perfectly.( originally had 1 two bedroom apt. but upon arrival was offered 2 one beds for no extra charge, suspect this suited hotel too but everyone was a winner and we were all happy). location was brilliant for everything very close to benalmadena marina which is full of decent restaurants and lovely walk opposite direction to la carihuela. This year we done 3 daytrips on public transport to MIJAS, MALAGA, AND MARBELLA there are bus stops a couple of mins from hotel and all journeys only 40 mins to hour each.

Room Tip: rooms on higher floors with sea and pool view

My husband & I stayed in a studio apt for 1 night while visiting family in the next door hotel. The room was tiny and very dated. I have to say towels etc clean and air con ok unlike some people. Very dated and dingy colour sceme didn't help. Would hate to have spent longer here. Needs totally updating and quickly ( would suggest demolishing it and rebuilding as its an ugly concrete building). Its in a great location right on beach.
