“Excellent Tapas Bar”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

Concentrating on fish, this excellent bar is towards the bottom of the main shopping street, on the right, leading towards the steps to the beach. Don't get confused with the other Bodega, further down but at the top of the steps on the left, which is equally good! Bar La Bodega is mostly used by Spanish, the staff being more helpful than friendly. Value is very good considering the quality and speed of service. Every time I go to this area I always pop in whether for tapas or something more substantial. Over the years it has been reliable and consistent. Limited seating outside but plenty inside and at the bar itself.

“Don't be put off by the lack of a menu outside”
Reviewed 8 October 2013

If you like seafood, then you won't be disappointed by eating here. Unlike most places in Torremolinos, this bar/restaurant does not have a price list outside, which possibly puts off the average tourist, so that nearly all of their customers tend to be local.

We were there during the recent festival, sat upstairs on a balcony overlooking the street and had a fantastic time, (most people tend to sit downstairs and upstairs gets filled up once there is no room left around the bar area).

We ate there twice during our stay. Their house red wine was excellent as was their white, sardines, fish soup, hake, monkfish and sea bream were all first class. Overall cost including drinks comes to around £20 per head. You'll find cheaper, but in Torremolinos I doubt if you'll find better.

“Best Tapas”
Reviewed 7 October 2013

tucked up a side street was this little gem. Great choice of tapas and a very cold beer at lunch time for little cost. The young girl who served us was lovely and helped with the selection. If you like tapas what's not to like about La Bodega

“Best tapas in town”
Reviewed 15 August 2013 via mobile

I go to Torremolinos every summer, 6 years in a row now.
La Bodega is probably the best to eat what the locals eat on a regular basis.
It's a small restaurant, not too many tables, fits 50 people tops.
Quality food, the most friendly staff in Spain.
Killer picks: ensaladilla russa and the carabineros
