“Lovely few days break”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 May 2014

We arrived at Hotel Isabel to find we had been given a beautiful room and a bottle of champagne too. Thank you so much for making our stay so perfect.
We sat on the huge balcony and enjoyed it.
The next morning we woke to see how beautiful the scenery was from our room. Fantastic.
Our room was spotless and we were pleased to have the toiletries they came in handy. It had tea and coffee facilities too.
The bed was huge and comfortable.
The pool was a relaxing area. Good hotel position too for exploring. Will definately visit again. Friendly staff. Good breakfast too.

Room Tip: Sea view was worth paying more.

The hotel is in an excellent position and opposite the beach, it's quite easy to reach everywhere from there. Reception is quite small and dark, but lovely polite staff. When we arrived it took ages to check us in, we had booked two rooms with sea views. The man on reception said we had only booked one room with a sea view, the other was elsewhere in the hotel. After a long debate and protest that we had booked and paid for two rooms, it turned out that he had mixed our booking up with someone else.
One room was ready straight away the other we had to wait till the afternoon, which was not a problem. Our room was on the third floor and very clean throughout, the bathroom was of a good size with plenty of toiletries, There was tea and coffee making facilities and a good sized television. The balcony had a wonderful view and was spotless, it overlooked the sea and the pool. The downside of the room however is the dreaded Air Con, or should I say the lack of it. This is huge problem as it is baking in them rooms, I'm only glad that we were there at the end of April and not in August.
The pool is on the small size, but excellent and extremely clean. The service is fantastic, again the staff were great. Breakfast is varied and plentiful and the staff were perfect nothing too much trouble. Overall I think this is a good find and would say there again, if they sorted the Air Con out otherwise sorry it's somewhere else!

Room Tip: Check that it's a room with working Air Con

The hotel has a fine reception area, pleasant friendly staff and a good location, just away from the main seaside strip of tacky shops and cafes. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was well appointed and there was a good view of the sea. We did not need the air conditioning, which is from individual units and may be a little noisy in use. The swimming pool was large enough for a decent swim and there were enough sun loungers in the garden area, but it was not high season. The breakfast selection and quality was first class and the waiters were lovely. Lunch could be ordered on the patio and food could be ordered from the bar at night. The toasted ham and cheese sandwich on the last night of our 4 night stay, was such a pleasant change from the fried fish that seemed to be the staple offering from all the nearby restaurants. We had a super stay at the Hotel Isabel.

Hotel Isabel was a very good experience. The situation of the hotel was perfect, near to the beach. They had also a own pool and good service at the pool. Rooms was clean and they cleaned very good every day. The breakfest in morning was just SUPER, a lot of variation.
All att hotel was very helpfull when needed somthing. The only thing that j missed was a little fitness center. Air condition in the rooms had a good function!

Room Tip: Rooms with a view to the see and at floors 3 to 6 are to recomend.

Thank you for highlighting the good service of both the cleaning and breakfast staff, they do a hard job and it's good that they be recognized. We will consider your idea of a fitness room.

As the advert said this would be the one, The Isabel is probably the cleanest hotel We have stayed in. My wife and I took our Grandson for a half term break here, the staff are absolutely outstanding, nothing is too much trouble for them, the room was comfortable and for a small fee we hired a safe and fridge which was great as we could keep some drinks in there for the Grandson to have when he wanted them. Breakfast was as plentiful and varied as other contributors have said, it was well prepared and stocked and there was never any problem getting what you wanted, the location is superb just across the road from the beach, and a gentle walk to Benalmadena and Torremlinos centre to get a train to Malaga or Fuengirola Have I anything detrimental to say, NO !! , would I stay here again - in a heartbeat, would I recommend it - ABSOLUTELY, there are no reasons not to,
Thank you all staff for a great break

Room Tip: ask for a sea facing room wonderful to people watch

We have just returned from the Isabel and found the hotel to be superb. Exceptionally clean throughout. Rooms were very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Staff all work very hard and they are all very polite. We stayed on a B&B basis. The breakfast room isn't very big but that didn't matter to us, we never had any wait there. Breakfast was an adequate choice, could possibly benefit with the cooked food being kept hotter though (there was a microwave provided but we don't like our food like that). Position of hotel is good as long as you are not looking for lots of lively entertainment (maybe it would be livelier in high season though). There wasn't any entertainment at the hotel. We were on honeymoon, and although we did point that out on our booking, there was no recognition of it at all. Was a shame but not a big issue. We would definitely return to this hotel and will recommend it to family and friends.

We stayed at this hotel based on the reviews we read and the price and location. We got the train from Malaga airport and got off at Torremolinos which was about a 15 minute walk from the station to the hotel. The hotel is based on the seafront where there are lots of bars and restaurants located, there is a supermarket and a couple of Irish bars located just next door to the hotel which is handy.

The hotel itself is nicely decorated and the staff are all very friendly and accommodating. The hotel has a nice small swimming pool out front which catches the sun nicely. You can also eat in the hotel and the food is well priced. The rooms are a good size and all the rooms come with a balcony and are cleaned on a daily basis. For the price, the location and the cleanliness of the hotel you cannot go wrong.

There was however a couple of issues we had, we stayed in room 110 and the walls and ceilings seemed very thin. We could hear people talking, walking around and using the shower a lot of the time,to the extent I had to check that the shower in our bathroom had not come on! Therefore remember to pack some ear plus as it is quite noisey at this hotel. One other item was one morning the local council decided to dig up the road next to the hotel at 8am! This of course is not the fault of the hotel but combined with hearing everything in the surrounding rooms its something we could have done without.

I would probably stay here again although in a different room, I'm not sure if the sound issues were just localised to this room or was the same all over.
