“Poor facilities and unhelpful staff”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 September 2013

I paid €300 for one night in a suite that on first appearance looked very nice, but turned out to be a nightmare. I stay in a broad range of hotels about 180 nights per year on average and although not terribly demanding, I do have high expectations of service and quality in 4 and 5 star properties in particular. In this case the air conditioning was totally ineffective, the Wi-Fi was useless and so I was unable to work or access emails, the bed was very uncomfortable, the pillows were strange to say the least, the bathroom although clean, smelled badly and the water took an eternity to empty from the bath. These things happen, however, the insult was added to injury when the staff were indifferent, uncaring and dismissive. The manager's behaviour was curt, arrogant and plainly rude. I was told to complain to Booking.com as I had made the reservation through them, although I paid on arrival at the hotel on my credit card. I was offered no apology, sympathy or compensation whatsoever. I would never stay in a MS hotel ever again

Room Tip: Rooms on the 6th floor have a great view of the hotel's swimming pool and the sea.

In the good part Of Torremolinos, on the way to Benalmadena. Direct access to the lovely beach walk and with own beach. Lovely pool area with view over the beach. Nice indoor pool. All in all we enjoyed our stay. Good service. Nice staff in the bar. Enjoy.

I stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend for 5 nights as we wanted a nice break by the beach. This hotel was wonderful, with very friendly and helpful staff and great rooms. We had a double bed which was incredibly comfortable, and a nice balcony where we could sit and watch people walk along the promenade.
Location was incredible, 2 seconds away from a great beach. The pool was also fantastic, although you have to get down there early to get a lounger.
Breakfast was good too with a lot of variety - from fruit, to cereal, to cooked breakfast and also croissants and pan au chocolat (which i had too much of).
Wish i could comment on the restaurant, but we didnt eat there once as the location on the promenade lead us right onto Benalmadena Puerto which had many lovely restaurants.

Would definitely recommend and will be staying here again in the future!!

The rooms are ok, the location is perfect, the food is also great, you can eat really healthy if you want (fishes, calmari, salads etc)
And I especially always got help when I needed it (see prev.reviews)

pro: great location for sunlovers, nice staff, quality breakfast and dinner (wide selection of local and international dishes), clean room
cons: the "air-conditioner" was low performance at best, wifi was only working in the lobby, rooms are more equipped according to the lower scale of 4star hotels of W-Europe

We stayed 2 nights at the end of June. The reception staff was very helpful - able to get our room early and answered all questions we had. They even printed off our boarding tickets. I found it a little odd though they had asked me to forward my payment confirmation from Expedia (never had this happen and good thing I had it saved on my phone). The room we received was pretty old and needed some updating. In the morning it was REALLY loud - you could hear everything in the halls and all adjoining rooms, especially everyone opening their balcony doors. Don't expect to sleep past 8am. The location was great right on the beach, and the breakfast was delicious with lots of choice and cava! Make sure to claim your pool chair before 10:30am. Towels are a 10euro deposit.

Room Tip: Pay for a newer room if you can swing it.

We stayed at this hotel in May the room was superb and comfortable in all ways. Breakfast was of a good standard hot or cold. Staff outstanding and keen to help. Location on the prom, and just 7 euro to local town. Hope to return. The reception staff were v helpful especially Almudena and Jose. Pianist in the lounge very good most evenings, very laid back relaxing hotel. Only complaint step stairs to dining room, there is an escalator but this may not be to the liking of less baled or older guests

Room Tip: Superior rooms have frontal views, side rooms have sea views, rear rooms to street with busses and n...
