Bajondillo Apartments

The Bajondillo is an old/tired hotel which is in desperate need of a refurb. The rooms are dreadful and not clean, the common areas are old and again not cleaned well at all. The staff at the hotel, have never heard of customer service and generally show a lack of interest. The attitude of the barman in the pool bar has to be seen to be believed.

The pool in the main season is over crowded and loud which is to be expected given the size, no sun beds with an umbrella after 8am. The one good feature of this hotel is the location to the beach, other than that, its hard to find positives.

This place is brilliant as a base for a beach holiday, apartments are a little tired (i.e. could do with some newer furniture - however, nothing was falling apart!), apartment was very clean, hotel is clean, a great location close to beach, shops and restaurants and a short walk from Torremolinos centre. Staff were very nice too. Good WiFi - even in the apartment which was a first for us! Beds were comfortable and apartment very spacious, nice bathroom. No kettle in the kitchen but pans were provided so we boiled water on the stove for tea/coffee which was just as quick as a kettle would be so really no big deal. Kitchen had fridge, utensils, pans, plates and everything you would need for your stay although we ate out most nights, we did have a take away two evenings and ate in the apartment. Apartments have a safe for which a key is available at reception

We would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view, you'll love it!

We LOVED this hotel....despite we're not a fan of large hotels...

However, because it's appartments not that many people choose breakfast......
so it was quiet and cozy..........

In the evening this hotel has a bar/piano bar which are actually quite romantic........

The hotel offers different kinds of pillows and are a very quiet hotel despite of it's size......

Breakfast is luxurious, has everything you could ask for...
+ the hotel has private parking for free......
+ and it's located in the centre of Torremolinos....
+Staff very friendly and helpful....

The hotel is seriously outdated. We spent 8 nights here. We had a chance to see a refurbished room overlooking the swimming pool and we decided to stay in the room which was not refurbished but had a proper sea view. Even the refurbished room looks dated. The beds are tiny and hard. The furniture in both are outdated, however in the refurbished one the kitchen corner and the bathroom looked better. The one overlooking the swimming pool was on the second floor and was extremely noisy due to the entertainment, which goes on every night until 1am. The Wi-Fi wasn't bed when it was working. Out of the 8 days it didn't work for 3...The hotel is pretty much occupied by grandparents with grandchildren. The quality of the entertainment is in line with the clientele. People can freely enter the hotel and they seem to do it for the entertainment. You have to pay extra for the safe in the room. Our room with the view was fairly clean but still due to the dated decor and old furniture it didn't feel clean. The bathroom was mouldy at some very visible places and the non-refurbished rooms have gas bottle's in them! It just didn't feel safe...I would not recommend this hotel and would advise to look further up from the beach if your budget is tighter rather than staying here. I would turn back time and rebook somewhere else if I could. Difficult to imagine who could give more then 2 points...

Unpretentious studio on the beach.
- Tired, plain furniture, spotty wi-fi, loud outdoor entertainment till 12:30am could be disruptive if staying on low floors, limited # of parking spots, huge hotel with busy front desk and pool area.
+ Unbeatable price for a beach hotel with a large pool. Pool chairs always available, small fee. Air works, free wifi, large fridge, small electric stove, most rooms have good sea-view, all front desk staff speaks English. Free entertainment for young kids in the pm. and adults in the evening on the hotel terrace. Very reasonably priced restaurant and pool-bar.
Overall, if you're not too fussy and request a room on floor 5 or above, you'll love it!

Spent ten days at these apartments. Cleaned daily and great location for beach. We were told we could get a free transfer to the airport which we arranged through reception 48 hours before departure. Taxi arrived but we then had to pay when we got to the airport, so not free at all. Hotel refusing to reimburse even though we supplied receipt.

After 3 nights in Barcelona, 3 in Madrid and 2 in Southern Spain our family of four has had a blast. That ended when we checked into this location. This place is a nightmare, with very small and outdated accommodations. With all of Malaga full we settled on this place to camp out for two nights. Little did we know it would be like camping. Cramped quarters, small hard beds and broken lamps. I am not sure what other reviewers are thinking when they rate this dump a 3, 4 or 5. The parking lot is a long walk away and not easy to get back from. We would have cut our trip short if we knew this is how terrible the last two nights would be. Sorry but these apartments are anything but.
