we were a bit wary about the rooms after reading some reports, but we found ours to be excellent. the bed must have been 6 feet wide, and it was very comfortable. the kitchen facilities were limited but adequate for our needs. we asked for a second floor apartment with a sea or pool view,we got both. The maids came in every day, and the place was spotless.
The staff were very polite and helpfull, the pool area was very good, although the beds were made of wood you can hire a 4 inch thick mattress for 3 euros.
The location was excellent, right opposite the beach. just around the corner was the ship inn, and opposite this was the bottom of the "hundred steps" which lead you up to the main shopping streets. these are not as bad as they sound,as they meander up you have lots of shops, cafes, and watering holes if you feel like a rest.Near the top on the right hand side you will find a great little Tapas restaurant called "Quitapenas". Give it a try, the staff are very helpful, and the food is great. As this thread says "well satisfied".

I just got back on sat the 13th from these apartments
you do get great value for money -location is excellent as far as beach is concerned
you get value for money €54 a night between two for clean and helpful
hotel like this is amazing !
however a word of warning torremolinos has a reputation of being a fun nightlife place
well the 24 hour squatre is no more .
There were only two dance bars and they weren't even packed .
loads of people were left wandering around wondering where to go.
Most people got a taxi to belmadena were there is a 24hour square but sadly the
clubs were empty .
There are bars near the beach but they wouldn't be dance bars
its a nice place id say familys would like it as its in easy reach of everything
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU GO INTO TOURIST CAFES FOR LUNCH
"LA BRUSCHETTA "GAVE MY BOYFRIEND FOOD POSINING FOR TWO DAYS HE WAS VERY UNWELL AFTER EATING A BURGER, they didnt even cook chips correctly"
I would recommend a proper spanish restaurant on the hill up tp tormelinos out of reach called
"asador baccus"-we were there 3 times in one week they do a mean steak
more for spanish people but well worth going and the prices are ridicously cheap.
I hope you find this reveiew helpful.
If you have already book these apartments they are very good not a bad word to say about
them

Just back from Torremolinos where we spent a nice week in Bajondill Apartments.
The hotel is in great location as the beach just at the next door and the main shopping area is 200 metres far.
The check in was quick and receptionist was helpful and friendly.
We've got the room on the 7th floor where we had the room facing to the sea.
The room was clean and had 2 single beds but i had put them together. Beds are confortable, bathroom was clean and nice. Balcony was big, facing to the see. Beautiful!!!! We had a TV but didnt really use as people going to enjoy everything not to watch TV. Anyway it has only 3 english speaking channels (Sky news, CNN, Eurosport).
The internet was fast but sometimes it disconnected every 5 minutes but it's still Free!
The kitchenette was ok, had cutlery, fridge, etc. Only toaster missing.
We tried only once the breakfast in the hotel. It cost €8 per person and has wide range of selection of foods. Full Irish breakfast and croissants, etc...
Pool area was ok, but we prefered to stay at the beach side.
I can recommend to book a trip to Morocco with a local travel agency. It costs about €50 euro. A whole day trip with bus to Tarifa and ferry to Tangier. If you like something different, you must try it, but not to bring valuable suff with you. (Gold chain, rings, etc.)
Malaga is forgettable city. I recomment to go Bendelama to Selwo Marina where you can see dolphin show and also take pictures with dolphins.

All in, the hotel is great value for money and I can recommend for couples, families....

My wife and I stayed at this place. If you take a train that goes from the Malaga airport - it's a 15-20 minute downhill walk through tourist areas and streets. The price obtained through Orbitz was 55 dollars (price at the counter was 44 Euros).

We liked the service and the nice folks that populate this place. Needless to say it is right across a road from The Beach! Convinient, quite with sounds of crickets and birds from the pot-pot golf downstairs.

The room was somewhat ok with all the items needed for a short stay including a small baby-size fridge and a stove.

Clean and reasonable. No frills.

We stayed in this hotel one week, and loved it. The room was clean, comfortable, nice kitchenette, and clean bathroom. We reserved a non-smoking room, and upon arrival our room smelled like stale cigarettes. However, the receptionist gave us a choice of three other rooms to choose from, and we found one that smelled fresh and clean.

The location was marvelous. The hotel is on the beach, and we were just a few blocks from the gay beach. And, behind the hotel, it was a short walk up the steps to the old town, with all the trashy tourist shops, fine restaurants, gay gym and gay bars. Torremolinos has a couple of square blocks of the trashiest gay bars and clubs with the hottest looking men in Spain. It is a gay man's paradise.

The breakfast buffet was "to die for." It was quite a spread, with lucious hot and cold foods, juices, coffees, sweet croissants, or whatever else your pallate desires. The chocolate croissants were "melt in your mouth." We got a kick out of the psychiatric patients from a group home in Holland who were staying there. They were quite a colorful group.

Just beware of the receptionists at the hotel. I think they hate their jobs. But, they provided whatever information or assistance we needed, and I guess they don't get paid to be pleasant.

I would definitely stay at this hotel next time I am in Torremolinos. For the price we paid, it more than delivered a comfortable, clean room in an excellent location on the beach. The rest of the vacation is what you make of it, and believe me, there is plenty of fun to be had in Torremolinos!

I am just back from 4 nights in the Bajondillo Apts and i had an absolute brilliant time. I loved the apartments, was very cheap and wasnt expecting the apartments to be so nice. We stayed in a studio - they arent the biggest but were perfect for us. There is a decent sixed bathroom, with a great power shower, a small area for a kitchenette and a fridge - you wuldnt want to be plannign on cooking slap up meals or anything but it was grand for making a small bit of lunch or breakfast or something. The balconies are a good size - we had a great view of the Sea and Swimming Pool area. Staff were very friendly and helpful, we had a great laugh with the barmen one night.

The location for the Bajondillo is excellant - couldn't ask for better. It is litterally across the road from the beach, and 2 mins walk from the steps that bring you up into the town. San Miguel Street is the main area for shopping, there are also a few bars and restaurants. I would definately recommend El Bodegan - french restaurant. Was lovely.

The apartments themselves were quite quiet, but i would imagine in the Summer there will be plenty more about.

All in all i cant really fault the place for value and location - i genuinely cant think of anything bad to say about it!!!

Just back from two weeks at Bajondillo. Was recommended by our friends and we were not disappointed. The beds are comfortable, the towels of high quality. Bring your own shampoo and soap and for the kitchenette a dishrag, brush and detergent. Was impressed with the reception staff, always willing to help and with a warm smile. Our chambermaid was outstanding. Stayed in the renovated part of the hotel with a shiny new bathroom of high quality. The decor of the room a bit dated. Not very good reading light over the beds, the TV was extremely small and the sound was bad. Huge balcony with two chairs and a table plus view of the sea.

The hotel is located a few minutes from the main street San Miguel and 10 min. walk to the grocery store. Convenient pick-up at the hotel for daytrips to Cordoba, Ronda, Sevilla,
Granada etc.
