“week in the sun”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 July 2014

Stayed for a week in July at the N.CH in Torremolinos. Very close to the centre of town and not too far from the beach but find the lift to the beach as there is alot of steps down if you decide to walk. also it is very near the train STATION and it only costs 1 EURO 50 cent to the airport. we had a TWIN room with a small balcony and most importantly air conditioning as it was in the high 30,s. The shower was the best shower that i have come across in Spain plenty of hot water and force. THE Room was very clean but could do with a kettle and a mini fridge as it would be nice to make a cup of tea and keep drinks cold. staff very nice and helpful. near to restaurants and bars. problematic to find for the first time, we got taxi from the airport as it was late at night when we got in. ask to be dropped off at Calle De sol in front of SPRINGFIELD clothes shop cross the road and go down the street and look for EL GOLOSO SIGN GO DOWN THE STEPS AND TURN LEFT AND YOU ARE THERE.

Room Tip: Ask for a twin room as they have a balcony double rooms do not..

Lovely hotel, with an ideal location in Torremolinos centre, and also for the train to the airport. Clean room with air con, and most rooms have a terrace to sit out on and enjoy the sun with a nice cold drink, very friendly and helpful staff with 24/7 reception. Perfect end to our lovely holiday in the mountain area of Ronda

Room Tip: Ask for a twin room so that you get a terrace, you can also book by phone, great value for money

This is a very nice hotel in the very center of Torremolinos but it is quite a distance from the beach which can only be accessed on foot by a very long and steep set of steps. It is idea to explore the main shopping street in Torremolinos which is only 50m from the hotel door.
Rooms are clean and cleaned daily with changed towels.
because the hotel is in one of the main squares it can be a little noisy in the early evening but it is not near the late bars and discos so the noise does not often affect your sleep.
We had a problem on arrival that our reservation could not be found however we were reassured by Jose that we could stay the night and the problem could be sorted in the morning. This was very much appreciated as we were hot and tired from travelling. We found during our stay that Jose was not only very friendly but also attended to any of the minor glitches (extra pillows, tv problem and light problem) very quickly and any issues were resolved instantly. I wish more hotels had a receptionist like Jose as it is very important that any issues are dealt with in a very professional manner.
I would say that this hotel is not really suitable for disabled people who want to get to the beach. It is ideal to explore the town but the long steps to the beach are impossible for disabled people. There is a lift to the beach but it is a long walk from this hotel to access the lift. We had a car so that we could drive to the beach but the problem was trying to find somewhere to park. There are a few parking spaces reserved for blue-badge holders in the vacinity but even these were very often full and are quite a walk from the hotel. The is no street parking adjacent to the hotel as it is located in a pedestrian area.
The hotel is close to bars and restaurants and right beside the Mercadona supermarket which is handy for water and fruit etc, however there is no fridge in the hotel rooms so it's useful for daily shopping or if you have forgotten to bring something.
All-in-all I would recommend this hotel, suitable for disabled or elderly people who want to stay up in the town area but not suitable for those who want to get to the beach.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the square if you want to have something to look at but ask for a room at...

This hotel is a nice place to stay and is really in the centre, also in a very quiet area. The room was very nice just the tv was a problem as it was very small..
Also if you are OCD the lift will be a problem as the buttons are never in place, like upside down and so on.. was kind of an issue for me.. just being honest. Overall a great place to stay! Totally recommend it

A fantastic place to stay for a budget break in Torremolinos. Located adjacent to the main shopping street and convenient to the underground station and just a 20 minute walk down steps to the beach. Rooms are comfortable and air conditioned with very comfortable beds.
Always made to feel very welcome by the reception staff
Have stayed here many times for a long weekend beach for several years and will book this hotel again for my next visit.

Cheap budget hotel for one or two nights. Basic room which needs an update. Staff on reception were friendly and welcoming. Cental location. If driving its safe toleave car on street or in multi storey parking.

Clean and functional hotel in the centre of Torremolinos near everything. It´s probably not the place to go for a week, but a weekend or night it does the job, and it has great big balconies to watch the sunset behind the mountains. Rooms are actually quite big with tv, a/c and ample bathroom. The place is clean, there´s a little cafe downstairs where you can get a coffee and pastry. Staff is very helpful and pleasant also and the price is excellent.

Room Tip: one higher up gives great views
