“Not a bad hotel but management need to do something about noise!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 April 2014

The wife and I just got back from a week stay at the Natursun.
The location is not too bad, about 10 minutes downhill from Torre train station and surrounded by plenty of restaurants. It's a 5 minute walk from the hotel to La Carihuela beach & prom.
We had a room at the front with seaview (204) and the room itself was OK, with a balcony, air-con and nice powerful shower (TIP: they don't tell you about leaving the hot tap running for 10 minutes before you use the shower until you complain about having no hot water!). There is also a small fridge provided so you can chill some beers or wine. No kettle in room, so we brought our own.
Breakfast was pretty good, the usual continental type with some nice cheeses and cold meats, plus do your own toast and rolls. There is also a couple of chafing dishes with hard boiled eggs and some sort of bacon substitute (actually tasted OK) and tiny sausages. Fresh fruit and juice is also provided.
The pool is small but met our needs (never any more than me in it, I think it was too cold for the locals!). There is also a Jacuzzi which isn't heated, but was obviously warmer due to the relative shallowness. Solarium holds a dozen or so loungers which are comfortable with big, wind-up overhead sun-shades.
The only drawback to this hotel was the noise created by other hotel users on weekend nights (Friday, Saturday AND Sunday). We had a bunch on our floor who were going in and out of there rooms (with booze, etc) every few minutes through-out the night, which didn't seem to finish until about 6am. At breakfast on the first morning following these disturbances a Spanish guest who was with his wife and little boy complained tot he management (as did my wife). I am not aware what actions they took, but it was to no avail because the disturbances (though not quite so bad) continued for the next two nights. On the Sunday night my wife got up and shouted at the youngsters to "Keep the noise down" at some early hour, and the message finally appeared to get through. Where was the management all this time? Is the hotel left overnight without any security?
I would have scored the hotel 4 out of 5 if not for the noise.

Room Tip: Take ear plugs, get a room at the front and run the hot taps for 10 minutes if you want to get tot h...

A great place to stay. Close to the seafront and restaurants, clean and spacious rooms and very modern. A no nonsense hotel with everything you really need. I will recommend it to family and friends for a great value place to stay. Peter. Carlisle uk.

Had a fantastic New Year break in Hotel Natursun, Our room was a lovely large room with sea view which gets sunshine all day.Hotel location is brilliant as it is only a short distance from torremolinos Centre, railway station and Carihuela beach.we stayed on bed and breakfast basis, breakfast was served from 8 to 10.30 and had ample choice to suit all tastes. Staff were helpful and friendly,we look forward to staying again in the near future

We viewed the larger rooms at the front as well as the smaller ones at the back. The front rooms are a nice size but if you want to see the sea view, take your binoculars, as it's way in the distance! We had a room on the third floor, it has a view over looking some houses but we did not hear any noise. The bathroom is the smallest we have ever had in a hotel. There is a shower over a half of a bath and the wash basin is half the width of a normal one. The hot water was rubbish, some mornings there wasn't any. The room is tiny but it is clean and the cleaner did a good job everyday. We hired a kettle at the cost of 2€ per day and we were offered the use of a hairdryer on check in. The breakfast was ok for us, the dining room was clean and tidy. This hotel is ok for a short stay and we would use it again if we were in the area.

Room Tip: Have the bigger room if staying longer than one night

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 December 2013

Just returned from an enjoyable 5 day Christmas Break at this Hotel. We had a room with a small terrace and a sea view, very comfortable beds, TV and fridge. There was a good internet connection in all the rooms throughout the Hotel The bathroom was small but spotlessly clean , lots of hot water and clean towels. Food was pretty good, although the Hotel was not full it was varied and plentiful. Fran and the rest of the staff are very friendly and helpful .The Hotel is situated just a few minutes walk to the Carihuella beach and 10 minutes to the centre of Torremolinos and there are excellent Bus and Train connections to Malaga , the Airport or Fuengirola, and it costs about 20€ in a Taxi to Malaga. I would certainly be happy to stay here again.

Room Tip: Front, sea view rooms are quieter.

3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 November 2013

I went to this hotel for a 4 day trip as I usually do at this time of year. I went on the reviews that I had read on here. It probably is the cleanest hotel I have stayed in. That's the good bit done. I think this hotel should be renamed "The Barking Dog Hotel". The dog mentioned doesn't belong to the hotel but if you've got a back room, this dog keeps you awake most of the night. Then there is the room ( 304 ). It was tiny with very poor lighting and the bed was solid. Definitely a room for one person. The door handle was ready for falling off and didn't seem very secure. The shower barely worked with only lukewarm water. I went b&b, but one night decided to order a burger and chips only to find that the chips were cold. Needless to say they were left. I would have complained but all of a sudden there was nobody around and since I was the only person in the room, I just left .Breakfast was continental and ok apart from some flies on the cold meat. The sound proofing in the room was non-existent because the 4 nights I was there, a person in the next room could be heard snoring constantly. In fact one night I heard someone chap their door only for the snoring to continue 5 minutes later. This hotel would be suited for travellers staying one or two nights. I wouldn't recommend it for a family fortnight.

Room Tip: A front room might help.

Very nice place to stay in Torremolinos. Easy access to beach and town centre. Rooms are large and clean. Staff all friendly and welcoming. beds were comfortable. TV available ( English was BBC world, mostly news). Parking however is a problem at this hotel and is only on the street. Pool was closed during how visit. Would I stay here again YES.
