Delicious paella and good location, you get charged for bread at 1.80 euro though and you don't even ask for it!!

“Good with a nice terrace on the beach”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

Good fresh food, friendly service, recommended for a quick lunch or dinner when other restaurants will be a better choice for a more sophisticated cuisine

“Amazing first time, pretty good second time”
Reviewed 19 May 2014 via mobile

We went here twice during our recent visit and really enjoyed our food there.

The best thing we enjoyed was the cheesy bacon chips. One could argue that there's more exciting options on their menu, but we enjoyed it very much.

Our pizzas were really fresh and full of flavour, though sadly a bit burnt on our second visit. Staff again were brilliant first time but a bit clueless second time. We asked to remove a topping from a pizza and the waiter had to check if that was possible. Maybe I'm being harsh, but it seemed a bit of a simple request really.

Pretty good price wise. About €15 for starter, main course and 1 drink.

“We had a great evening meal”
Reviewed 30 April 2014 via mobile

The restaurant is across from our hotel, the Melia Costa del Sol. We put off going here because we thought it was a tourist trap like others of its Paseo neighbors. Not true. We had a grand experience.

We had dinner in back overlooking the playa, with the beach and the unoccupied beach chairs between us and a glassy Mediterranean Sea. The fishermen were out in the Park next door, and the waiter spoke enough English to tell us they don't catch much. But it made a nice atmosphere.

I had the chicken Brochette, packed with large chunks of chicken, red and green peppers, and onions. It was a spectacular presentation, under €10,accompanied by chips and salad, and delicious. For under €6 my wife, who needed a taste of home, had the burger, fries and a Coke Light, and loved her meal, too.

Service was good, the hot food was hot, the salad and the San Miguel beer were cold, and we had a wonderful time.

If you're staying at the Melia on Bajondillo Beach and have dinner on your own, go here, order the Brocheta (choices are chicken or pork), and enjoy.

Bring your camera, it's not served lying dead on a plate like back home, but on a stainless skewer dangling over your plate of fries and salad. And the veggies were fresh and perfectly cooked.

We had eaten lunch at the chiringuito next door and felt like tourists, not guests, on out first day in Torremolinos, so we were happy to have a better experience at La Cabaña.

Dinner for two was under €20, and we enjoyed every bite.
