My hubby and I stayed here for a week over Easter. It was a great little hotel which suited our needs perfectly. Situated overlooking the fountain in a square with the beach just beyond.

Our room had a lovely view of the sea, we could even lie in bed and look at the waves breaking on the shore. It was a basic room but had a tv (which we didn't use) and free air con. There was plenty of wardrobe space.

The bathroom was also small but the shower over the half bath worked well, although it took a bit of time to warm up. Maid service was daily and she did a good job and was very pleasant.

The bar/reception and lounge areas are quaintly decorated and I loved the paintings they had on the walls. The staff were very pleasant and appreciated my attempt at Spanish.

Breakfast was a toasted baguette with preserves and a cup of tea/coffee. Adequate to start off the day and what more can you expect for the price?

All in all, we had a great stay here for a truly incredible price.

The hotel is 1* but do not let that put you off, the location is fab just a few strides from beach. The room we were allocated had a sea view and was a decent size, it even had air con at no extra cost. The hotel was clean and tidy and the staff polite and friendly but not over the top with it. The toast and hot drink in the morning served to you is great and the fact is goes on until 11am works well. You do not need a pool when you are so close to the beach. We paid less than £20 per night for the room, you cant get a travelodge on a motorway service station for that! Will definately return to this hotel.

This is a little hotel, in the less popularised area of torremolinos, but it is lovely, the rooms were immaculate, looking out over a little square, and then straight to the beach The family who own it were very welcoming, and friendly, there is no pool or even balconies, but plenty of seats outside hotel to sit, ideal base didnt need much more, it was perfect.

recently returned from the Hotel Cabello and wasn't disappointed. It's not 5 star and it's not 5 star prices BUT it is clean, with friendly staff and in a great location. Breakfast is a toasted roll and a coffee - more than enough to get you started for the day and for the price you pay. Bar prices compare well with other bars and always seemed busy with residents and locals alike.
Cosy Nook on hte seafront good for food, as is the Tudor Rose if walking down the coast. Mojito was good for a night out.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view

Just got back (4 hours ago) from our second visit to this lovely little hotel. Once again it was faultless. Had a room at the front, small but perfectly formed and spotless. The staff are all friendly and very pleasant, and, are keen to make sure you enjoy your stay. A great location - easy access to all of the numerous amenities in the area and beyond. Great value, very pretty, nice people, good prices. What more could you ask for?

Good Value Hotel in an Excellent Location.

Small, family run hotel, only 14 rooms. Our room was on the 2nd floor looking out to sea. No frills room, safe in room, key available from front desk for a small fee with deposit. We had twin beds but plenty of space to push them together. Small flat screen TV on wall but we were not able to find any english speaking channels, but that was not a problem as we only used room as a base.
Bathroom was basic and could do with an update, shower was not very powerful but enough for our needs.
Room was cleaned daily, not sure about the floor though!!
Breakfast was a hot bread roll with tea or coffee, not alot but a good start to the day, it is served upto 11am. We were able to eat ours outside whilst enjoying the morning sun.
Be aware that there is a school right in front of the Hotel and there can be noise at times.
The Hotel has its own bar which we considered to be of good value.
We did not walk far while we were away but you can walk either way, left toward the centre of Torremolinos or right towards Benalmadena. There are bars/cafes and shops along the front, the bars on the beaches were still being prepared ready for the summer.
At the time of our visit, March, alot of the bars/cafes were closing early and were not open for an evening meals so be prepared to hunt around for places to eat.
We had two very good meals at Cheers Bar & Bistro which is close to the hotel, turn left towards the supermarket and you will see Cheers on the other side of the road. Meals were very good value and you received plenty for your money.
The pIzza restaurant just 3 doors down from the hotel serves up a good pizza for a reasonable price.
Please take care if you try Casa Pascual, to the left of the hotel on the square, my wife had to send her meal, chicken, back as it was not cooked properly, and then was not very well through the night.
We had lunch time snacks in Nigel & Cheryl's and the Cosy Nook and they were both very good, go to the front and turn left along the beach and you will find them next to each other.
If you like your sport we watched football at Winstons, turn right outside the hotel and go into the back streets and you will find them. As I said we did not venture far but other bars showing sport were Cunard Bar and Bar El Mojito

This is a small hotel. We had a room at the front, from which we could see the sea, the square, a fountain and a small school for infant and primary aged children.. We didn't find the school a problem. The noise didn't seem excessive.
The room wasn't big, but was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was small, but newly installed by the look of it, and we even had a bidet, which you wouldn't expect in a bathroom of that size.
The whole of the hotel was well maintained. Every member of staff was pleasant and obliging.
The breakfast was just a fresh toasted roll and a cup of real coffee. (not instant) This was perfectly adequate for us, but there are plenty of cafe's nearby if you fancy something more.
The bar of the hotel is always busy because it serves good quality drinks at realistic prices. It isn't exclusive to hotel guests because most of the seating is on the square, and tempts in thirsty passers-by. It's popular with locals too.
The beach is literally a few yards away.
The Cosy Nook is a great place to go if you're hungry. It's on the beachfront. It has a really varied menu ranging from scones and cream to Irish sirloin steaks, both of which we can recommend. It has a different 'Special' dish every day. The Cafe Latte's are great too. They're about double the amount of liquid of a normal cafe con leche. The owners and staff are all really friendly.
If you fancy going to Gibraltar for the day, the tourist office recommends that you book at the travel agent. The nearest one from the Cabello is about 5 minutes walk away. Turn right from the hotel door, walk straight, do not take any turns, for approximately 5 mins, (depending on the speed you walk!) the travel agent is on the left hand side. Look out for leaflet and brochure stands outside. We went on the shopping only trip which cost us £12 each. It was great value for money, but we would do the tour next time.
