We ate at the Tapas bar during the day and were very impressed. We received free tapas with very reasonably priced drinks and it was better than what you would pay good money for in the UK. We ordered some more tapas and it was very good. We returned in the evening and could not get a seat as it was very busy but there was a table upstairs in the restaurant which was empty and probably wasn't a good sign. The service was terrible due to one poor waiter who was trying to do everything. The menu was no as varied and considerably more expensive. When the food arrived it was disappointing and didn't prove to be good value.

This was one of our favorite tapas joints that we visited while in Spain. Be warned that this bar gets very busy, so earlier is usually better. There is an upstairs dining area that we did not try, but we were able to find a spot at the bar, and had a great experience. They bring a different tapa out for every drink that you order, and they were all excellent! The wine was very good too, and all for a reasonable price. My husband and I enjoyed the food here so much, that we came back a second night before we left. We had a few glasses of wine, the tapas they brought out with our drinks, and ordered a few more tapas, all for under 25 EUR! We aren't "bargain tourists". We appreciate good food and wine, and this was an excellent find!

Spain has a lot of good food, but this place was our favorite. I'll warn you to watch the price of the sparkling water (we were charged 9 Euros a liter bottle!), but the food and atmosphere - even the olives - were scrumptious. We had the beef steak and a grilled fish dish and ended with the rice pudding. It's open during siesta time (the time we ate). We sat upstairs so no smoke (yay!) and they sat us next to a little garden window alcove which was wonderful. Bathroom was clean and server excellent. Like many places in Spain be sure to state you want the receipt in EUROS. Like say it 3x because we were charged a 2% fee to have it charged in USD without being asked. This is something the CC companies in Spain automatically seem to do and the servers have to select EURO. All in all a great meal and space to sit and relax after six hours walking around in the Alhambra. Be sure to stop across and a little up the street at the Munira leather store for some digestion and stunning leather working shopping.

There is a great choice on the menu and the food was very good. Friendly and professional service and a reasonable bill in the end. Not a tourist trap.
