The Corte Ingles restaurant is on the third floor of the department store. We had eaten here seven years ago and been impressed by the three course set lunch menu which we thought was great value for 11 euros. Surprisingly the same offer was stlill available at the same price on our recent visit.
The restaurant is light and airy and the tables are set comfortably apart from one another. We chose seats by the window and almost immediately a friendly waiter produced a menu. We decided on the set menu (available at lunchtime until 4:30 pm) which offered four or five options for each of the 3 courses as well as bread and a drink. The food was excellent, especially the paella main course, and the staff were attentive and efficient throughout the meal without being intrusive. Surprisingly tipping is not permitted.
The restaurant is popular with locals and attracts a fairly up market clientele but it caters for tourists by using picture menus and having English speaking waiters and waitresses.
If you are looking for good value food in comfortable surroundings give the Corte Ingles a try but don't miss out on the many excellent tapas bars that Granada has to offer.
