“Perfect B&B and wonderful hospitality”
Reviewed 20 August 2013 via mobile

We stayed here for 5 days in August and we have never experienced such friendliness and hospitality anywhere else before. Julio, Nerea and Marco looked after our every need and were perfect hosts from start to finish. My partner had a terrible toothache when we arrived and Julio managed to get us an appointment immediately even though we were in the middle of holiday season. Granada is probably the most beautiful place in Spain and our stay here was made even better because of Solar Montes Claros. The rooms are all beautifully and tastefully decorated and everything was spotlessly clean throughout. A fantastic experience, thank you!

Splendid place to stay, very charming, clean and well located. The staff is super atencious, specially Robert, one of the owners of the place. The property is in the heart of Albaicin, just some minutes walk from some of the best bars and restaurants of Granada. Although we were not exactly their regular customers - it´s more of a romantic place, and we were a family with one kid and one baby - almost everything went well. Why almost everything, and not everything? Because we had a major malfunctioning in our AC, so our room was really, really hot. Robert did his best to solve the problem, but it was impossible. So he managed to buy as a really big ventilator... it was not the ideal solution, but was the only possible one. In summary, a great place to stay, with one of the best views of Alhambra and Albaicin you will ever find.

We rented the entire villa over a six-day period in July for our wedding. As we were flying in from around the world, our host Antonio arranged for us all to be picked up separately by taxi (free of charge). Upon arrival, we were helped up the stairs with our many bags and shown around the property.

Each room is intricately themed/decorated with quality fixtures and little 'trinkets'. Air conditioning and black-out blinds worked a treat and breakfast was delicious - served in the downstairs reception area each morning.

The fridge was always stocked with water/beer (on a pay-per-use basis) and Antonio was very helpful with dining suggestions, printing, directions and everything in between.

The views are stunning and the scent of cinnamon from the rooms is still with us. There is a beautiful garden area overlooking the Alhambra - perfect for a few beers in the sun.

This is without doubt one of the best accommodation experiences we have had. It was great travelling/staying with a group, but would be equally fun for solo travellers/couples. Give it a go

My family (5 of us) stayed here in April for two nights on a one-week, whirlwind tour of Andalucía. For the services offered, the price we paid was excellent...comfortable beds, beautiful terrace, nice soaps, and delicious breakfast. Though we were leaving early the final morning, the owner arranged for a taxi for us and even got us to make us toast and coffee before we went. For those looking for a nice B&B ambience, conveniently located in a charming neighborhood (the edges of the Albaycin), this is your place. No complaints!

The location in Albayzin gave us easy access to some of the quaint shops and restaurants. The city centre is within walking distance but one may need to climb some steep roads. The room was clean and well furnished. Robert, the manager, has been helpful and he was the one who fixed us good breakfast in the morning. Overall, it was a pleasant stay for us here and Alhambra was really worth a visit.

We spent 4 nights at this lovely B&B with friends to celebrate 2 significant birthdays. We stayed in the Persia and Sumeria rooms; both rooms had a bath and a separate walk in shower, a cool bath was very welcome after walking around the steep and cobbled streets of Granada. The views from the rooms and the terraces of the Alhambra and the Albaicin are wonderful.
Julio was an excellent host, very friendly and helpful. The rooms both have Juliet balconies for the views, but you can sit out on the terrace on the floor below (if the guests in the rooms on that floor, who have their own private terraces, have not monopolised all the seats on the communal terrace). The breakfasts are as stated by other reviewers, simple, fresh, local style and very good. There is wine and water available at a charge in the rooms and beer in the fridge in the kitchen; this is on a “trust” basis, you say how much you have had when you leave and pay the bill. Prices are the same as at local bars.

Again as other reviewers have said; if you have mobility problems then this may not be the place for you (the B&B or the area). If you don’t have problems, come here and enjoy wonderful views, the good hospitality, comfortable, clean rooms with great Moorish décor.

As other reviewers have stated, it is in a wonderful location. Beautifully decorated with touches of Moorish art giving it a very natural feel.
Antonio was a great host, making us feel very welcome and was able to help with any issue we had. Breakfast was great, with the bread and the freshly squeezed orange juice a highlight.

However, what topped it off was our room. We had the Saba room, the very top floor with a separate kitchenette. The view, though was fantastic. Utterly fantastic. We sat there with a drink (from the very reasonably priced mini bar) and just relax with an amazing view of the Alhambra. The excitement we felt after being introduced to the room has never been felt with any other room in any other part of the world.

Just go, read this and go. Now, just do it. Go Now, and I promise you will sit like we did, glass of wine in hand and just be dazzled. And tell Antonio we caught the right train eventually!

P.s. Considering the view the room is very reasonably priced. Trust me, put that in a 'chain' hotel, and you're paying double the amount, and you'll be sitting there thinking 'isn't this worth it'.

Room Tip: Saba room. If its available, book it.
