Atmosphere at lunchtime is a bit busy, given that the restaurant is located very close to the city centre in the busy area of the old fish market. We came across this place whilst walking around the area and it definitely looked more upmarket than some of its neighbours and it didn't disappoint. We had gazpacho to start, very good, generous quantity, traditional, and then for main I went for hake in a lobster sauce which came beautifully presented with a crayfish on top, and a few carrots on the side. My wife had grilled monkfish. We didn't order any potato (or other veg), given that we had big rolls on the table. Have to say the hake was outstanding, beautifully cooked, a generous portion and the sauce was great. My wife enjoyed the monkfish too. Sweets on offer fairly ordinary, but OK . I thought prices very reasonable for this quality, staff helpful, if a little rushed at times

We ate here on the recommendation of our accommodation on our first night in Granada and we had a good simple supper. We shared a plate of grilled vegetables ( aubergine, courgette, tomato and onion); grilled squid, tender and well cooked and some fried red mullet. The mullet were tiny little fish, so too much bone re meat, so was not a good dish for us. We had a bottle of Mar de Frades, a very crisp and slightly sharp Albariño.
The bill came to 58 Euros, which was good value, sitting in a nice square. The service was very good.

We went twice to this bar as we loved it so much. It's a riot of noise and activity, packed full of locals really going for it. Fantastic people watching opportunity.
We were lucky enough to get a seat at the bar on the first visit, but the second time was so packed we only managed a quick drink.
Worth a visit if you're in the area, but do check the opening times, and if you want to eat check if you can book

This was recommended to us by where we staying so were looking forward to it. Salmorejo (thick gazpacho) was ok. Grilled prawns and grilled vegetables were not. 5 prawns and they were on a bed of rock salt which made them almost inedible. The grilled vegetables were tough as an old boot and coated in salt that had to be scraped off. My wife who is a salt addict couldn’t even eat it. Avoid!
