Small hotel, Very central location, staff very friendly&helpful&English speaking! We stayed two nights, got a one tapas&wine tasting, parking and all together for about 260€. tasty breakfast. In the room all you need, although it was simple and the bathroom as well. There is a snack time from 5pm with delicious cake served..

This hotel was located perfectly, we walked everywhere from here including to the Alhambra, the Albaicín, the cathedral, royal chapel and plenty of excellent bars and restaurants nearby. The room was a good size as was the bathroom, bed comfortable, and spotlessly clean. We had breakfast and there was a good selection and a lovely lady cooking eggs to order and helping with drinks. In fact all the staff were lovely and super helpful, we made us of the tea/ coffee and cake in the afternoons which was lovely, would definitely stay here again

Lovely location, beautifully restored and exceptionally welcome staff. Very helpful giving information about the town, things to do and where to eat.
Easy to wander out and found some back street tapas bars which were a gem. Some very quirky rooms - our was small but perfectly formed.

The Alhambra is definitely worth pre-booking though the times for entry seem to be a little loose! If you walk over to the other side of the valley to the Albacin area there are some beautifully perched bars and restaurants giving a perfect view of the ALhambra and the mountains beyond.

The Gar Anat provided us with great service from the moment I booked the hotel, offering to provide assistance with any need or desire. The room was beautiful and immaculate replete with a comfy bed, a high pressure hot shower, and large balcony windows. There is a good breakfast in the morning with strong coffee, tea and cake in the afternoon, and wine is also available. The hotel itself is beautiful. The staff are genuinely welcoming and helpful. The location of this hotel is outstanding. Steps away from the hotel across the street and around the corner is the Taberna Chica, which had some of the best tapas of our stay. The Bodegas Casteñadas, Bar Casa Julio, and Bar Los diamantes are a flat 5 minute walk, and they are all amazing. The Calle Navas is a 3 minute walk and by strolling this street you will quickly spot the best places because they are packed, such as EntreBrasas, and others are oddly completely empty. Rick Steves has taught me to muscle my way into the crowded places for the best experiences. Taberna La Tana is 3 minute flat walk. Filigrana Delicatessen is a 1-2 minute walk and is open all day, perfect for when you land in Granada at an odd hour, no siesta here! The plaza Rib-Rambla is a 5 minute walk, also flat. The Catedral de Granada and the Royal Chapel, a 5 minute walk. The Churrería Alhambra Cafeteria Chocolatería Granada is a 6 minute walk. We walked to the Mirador San Nicolás from the hotel, completely uphill and 20 minutes. We sat at Juanranas and marveled at the spectacular view, if not surreal. The Albayzin was enjoyed up and down along the way. We also walked to the Alhambra from the hotel, 20 minutes, the last part was uphill. The bar at the Alhambra hotel has a stunning view. There are buses to the hilly places if preferred, and they are found in a 1-2 minute walk. Personally, I enjoyed the walking, which gave me permission to enjoy my tapas and churros. I did a lot of research before this trip to Granada, using a lot of resources, including TripAdvisor, and my experience confirmed my planning. This is the perfect base for an amazing visit. I have read others talking about the “noise”...when you are in the center of amazing places, you will hear people on the streets enjoying themselves into the wee hours, especially on a Friday night, and especially because of the acoustics of historic city buildings. I have had the same experience in Madrid. If you will not be out with the party revelers, simply download a sound app to your phone or iPad and use white noise to sleep. Really, any new place that you sleep will have noises that you are not accustomed to hearing. I had no trouble sleeping as the city willingly wore me out with incredible and intense experiences. I highly recommend this hotel.

A beautiful boutique hotel. I stayed in the LEÓN EL AFRICANO room which was uniquely decorated, like no other hotel I have stayed at, and with 3 balconies including one in the bathroom, it's a very special place. I loved the hotel and the city of Granada so much I extended my stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The common areas are lovely. It has an exclusive yet friendly artistic feel.

Room tip: Definitely go for a superior room on an upper level with balconies.
