Gran Via 44 is not by the Alhambra but it is closer to restaurants and other necessities. We had our 2 Grandchildren with us so we got a two bedroom suite. The only minus was that we only had one bathroom for 4 people. The hotel is very comfortable and well located for transportation and dining.
Francisco at the front desk is a real plus for the hotel. He was anxious to please and extremely friendly. You won't go wrong to stay at this hotel if you are more than two people. It really is suited for families.

As usual was struggling to find accomodation for family of 5 so ended up booking two suites via Lastminute.com. The suites were very clean, well appointed with extremely comfortable beds, and powerful aircon. There appeared to be sufficient equipment for self catering but with so many restaurants in the area!! If you do need to self cater then the best place to shop is in the market close to the Cathdral which is just down the road. The same for breakfast.

I'd say the location was perfect for exploration on foot however Gran Via is a busy street and it can be noisy, especially in the morning before the 7am traffic restrictions. Car access is extremely difficult and not to be tackled unless you understand the restrictions and have nerves of steel to drive down the very narrow unrestricted streets behind the hotel. Granada is not a place where cars are encouraged! We left the car in an underground car park 1/2 mile away (20 euros a day) and taxied to and from the hotel.

All in all we couldn't fault it and would stay again.

Great hotel with a kitchen. After eating out for two weeks it was nice to be in a hotel with a kitchen and also so close to the Alhambra. We could have easily stayed a week there but alas we had to move on with our trip. Plenty of places to eat that are close by and a bus stop down the block that will take you to the Bus Station or the Airport. I think the bus is like 1:20 euros. We also found it way cheaper to buy food at the local markets and cook it ourselves. We had eaten tapas for about a week and just wanted something basic. Anyway. This is a great hotel.

For once, the Trip Advisor reviews did not steer us in the right direction. We stayed here for two nights over Easter break. It was certainly spacious and a very good price for two bedrooms, which is why we booked it. But our suite faced the busiest street in Granada and it was so noisy we couldn't sleep even with earplugs. The kitchen was very poorly equipped (not even a coffee maker), and the pull-out sofa was so uncomfortable that we couldn't sit on it (the cushions kept slipping off/up. The staff was nice, but the one morning we ordered breakfast (which was expensive but delicious) they came in and took the tray away while my husband & I were out, even though our teenage daughter was still sleeping in the apartment and had not yet had anything to eat. Would not stay there again. In fact, would not stay anywhere along the Gran Via in Granada unless the hotel could guarantee that our room would face the back, or it has double-glazed windows.

Stayed 3 nights in June, which was the right amount of time in Granada for us seeming we were taking things slow with a 1 year old.

The front desk staff gave us our apartment before check-in time and were very helpful always, if you remember someone's name (Suzi) you know they were good! Baby cot arranged as requested. The airport bus stops about 3 minutes walk away (slightly closer if you stop before the hotel rather than after, but not a drama if you don't!).

The apartment was very modern and we did not find anything lacking, everything was thought of! Actually much more luxurious than we were expecting and quiet. The hotel is just a 5 minute stroll depending on your pace from the centre of town and the bus is just across and 50 metres up the road to the Alhambra.

We didn't have a car as we were renting when we left town, but would recommend paying for the garage at the back if you did as parking would be near impossible otherwise.

Suites Gran Via offer spacious apartments in the centre of Granada, well placed for visiting the old town and all attractions. We stayed for a night but wished we had longer as the apartments would make an ideal base for a longer term stay with well appointed kitchens and dining rooms. The staff were very helpful and the rooms were excellently decorated. A bargain. The only cons are that the car park is very tricky to find!
