“A very good location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 May 2013

Not the first time in Granada but the first time in this hotel choosen by experience in Sevilla but a little bit disappointed. Anyway, the location is quite excellent, within walking distance from the center and all the restaurants, bars and stores and of course not far from the Alhambra and Albayzin.
The room was located at the 4th floor but should be refurbished, the lobby is "cold" and doesn't invite you to stay for a drink (not sure the bar was open)
Breakfast room was cold and the choice and variety was not what i expected in a 4* hotel.
Staff was warm and try always to help you as much as the could.
A car park is available in front of the hotel and you will get a special price (discount) if you pay directly at the desk while you check out. (18€ instead of 25€)
By the way, staff will bring you your car just in front of the door of the hotel.
To reach the Alhambra main entrance, turn left on the Gran Via and 100 m away from the hotel, catch the bus 30. It will cost 1,2€ for a one way ticket.....
So, a warm staff, a warm welcome, a good location but....

The entire hotel seems to be run by Martin , the rooms don't have any facilities , the toilets don't carry doors and is very uncomfortable for a family to stay , the rooms are clean and well finished but very small, pl ask for corner road facing rooms , the breakfast is disappointing , the staff is in hurry to wind ,

Room Tip: Ask for road facing corner rooms

Well sitauted in town centre with view of Alhambra from top floor terrace bar.

Car park, public, 100 metres away but a nightmare to find through tiny one way streets and very tight curving entrance. A big car may have to manoeuvre to get in. You definitely need a satnav to find it and to leave it as the exit is on to a one way street that leads to a major commuter street which changes direction at different times of day!

Well, that's not quite true. It is one way for most vehicles most of the day but becomes two way in the evening. This is an interesting experience.

TIP. Don't use your car in Granada, leave it in the car park and take taxis. Cheap at six euros anywhere in town.

TIP Don't ask Reception to get taxi, it'll take longer. Just walk outside and stop one.

Hotel modern and airy. Not really 4 or 5 star, however. Rooms small and missing small touches such as Kleenex in bathroom or full length mirror in room. Wardrobe space woefully limited.

Major downside is that some rooms have internal door in bathroom to shut off WC but it is too large to open properly, and hits other bathroom fittings so you need to sidle past it. Fine if you are slim. Or not pregnant.

TIP Ask about the lavatory door when you book or get there. Avoid room 205, for example.

Service could be excellent, smIling and keen young trainees everywhere. However, because they are trainees, they sometimes cannot answer tourist queries correctly, and we nearly lost our entrance to the Alhambra because of wrong information given about our tickets.

Receptionist gentleman was very helpful. Gave us a reduced rate for the public car park, normally 25 euros a day, we were charged 18. And he went and fetched the car and parked it outside of the hotel! Excellent service. Bit disappointed the bar and restaurant are only open at the weekend. And the ensuite bathroom facilities are a little strange....opaque glass only between the shower and toilet cubicles. Otherwise very good value for money.

This is a cute hotel with very nice elements: arty lobby and well designed rooms. The breakfast area is small but efficient but the huge plus of his hotel is the location. You are right at the Granada center!

This hotel is at the perfect location for tourist. Very spacious room and nice decoration. There are one traditional overhead shower and one rain shower in my room, however, the rain shower has no hot water (or only warm water).
One thing to be mindful the bathroom is open space (kind of like a studio)
The staff is not very friendly (really depend on who you get), but if you ask the question, they are willing to answer.

Reception:She can't smile? especially in Spain, attitude is so hard, my god, everyone may smile in this country, but, in this hotel? Service is too bad.
Location: Very good location for tourism, but it is too noisy, window?
Lobby: Smell is strange and bad, maybe from public toilet? I'm not sure, but public toilet is dirty.

Others: room size is just ok, but others are not good, no free water,no tissue,no glass, no anything for 5* hotel , hair dryer is bad.

I just stayed in 4* hotel in Seville, so, that is better than this hotel, I think 3.5 * is ok.

Room Tip: If possible, don't choose this hotel, since many hotels in Granada.
