we were in Granada 4 days. Think we went to this Pasteleria all 4 days!!! sometimes twice in the one day to have a beer or a wine and eat something. The guy behind the bar who spoke english was great. Sorry we did not get his name. he was friendly and efficient.

Empanadillas are smaller than pasties and are made with flaky pastry. Fillings are such as ham and cheese, spinach and cheese or chicken and mushrooms - and all are terrific specialties here. Best of all, the Pasteleria manages to cook the pastry all through so there's none of that grey-green mush so common with pastries. We loved them to reheat at our apartment and you can also eat in the restaurant behind the shop. For an established place full of atmosphere and tradition it's not highly priced.

Here's the best tip, buy only what is on display in bulk, so they are as fresh as possible. We bought apple (manzana) pastries that were still warm from the oven; if we'd eaten them on the spot we'd have bought two more. Each!

We were struggling to find some quick and easy food until happening upon Pasteleria Lopez Mezquita. The Empanadillas here are pretty good – try the Pollo&Champignons, or the Espinacas&Queso. Coffee is also decent.

Had coffee and croissants here for breakfast one morning. Better price than the other place we had breakfast. Coffee & croissant were both delicious. Place has lots of character. Lots of locals eat here. I wanted to try one of everything.

We enjoyed churros con chocolate at this restaurant. The pasteleria at the front of the establishment had some delicious looking offerings, but we opted to sit in the restaurant area behind the shop. The churros were good, but I have had better at other places. The chocolate was a bit sweet for my taste. However, everyone ate their fair share and the quality was high. If you like the thin, crunchier churros, you will like their offering.
