“Would benefit from fitting carpets.”
Reviewed 2 November 2012

Ok so good sized suites, with massively high ceilings. Well decorated although the bathroom was very dark from the choice of brown tiles. The location is good and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is on a side street we parked straight away in the car park in Calle Angel Ganivet and took our bags up once we had checked in, thankfully we were travelling light. It is a short walk to the Alhambra and the hotel can hook you up with tickets through a third party vendor. We did not really allow ourselves enough time to go see it but if you can try and prebook your tickets through the Alhambras official website or find a servicaixa cash machine where you can also purchase tickets it may be cheaper- the cheapest ticket the hotel offered was 32 Euros per person for entry and audio guide. Sleep was not really an option in this hotel as during the day there seemed to be construction or refurbishment works going on in the hotel- the place did not seem completely finished. Once night sets in I could hear everything going on in the room above including the toilet being used. Curiously although it is a self catering suite there was a fridge stocked with a mini bar which seemed a bit of a contradiction, there is no freezer or oven but there is some electric hobs and a microwave.

Good value family apartments with very nice staff, the location is really good and central, carpark around the corner with a discount ( get the hotel to stamp you car park ticket)

Bathrooms need attention clean but they have painted the tiles and this looks bad as its coming off.

Really funky common areas.

I would stay here again.

As with most of the previous reviewers of this place, our stay was mixed. First of all, it is difficult to find, but so are most of the central Granada hotels. You have to stop your car on a one way "street", really an alley, unload quick and then go park it in a lot where you have about two inches of room on either side of your car to fit it in a space. Having said that, we had a two bedroom family suite as we were five and it was very adequate. Also, from there you can easily walk around the center of town and enjoy your time there. At night the street is lively, not just the the bar/club across from the hotel which causes a lot of noise, but people walking up and down the street. Since we were there for only one night on our way from Madrid to Marbella, it was no big deal, but if we were staying there for several nights, it would be a concern. Also, the staff was very nice and the breakfast which was included in the price, was good. In the end, Granada and Alhambra are not to be missed and, since most of the places are similar to this one, I would stay there again, if for no other reason, I know exactly how to get there now!!!

We were travelling with our 23YO daughter and had a 2 bedroom apartment which we found to be just ok. The main problem was the noise from the street out the front ehich went to late at night and then started early in the morning, but we excepted that as an offset to being in a good position and being able to walk to where we needed to go. The place was curiously decorated in some bright colours which was ok. The hotel was not great but suited our needs wantwo bedroom apartment.

Room Tip: get one that does not face the street at the front

Do not stay here unless you can go into a sleep coma. The noise is unbearable and the management are unwilling to help and refuse to acknowledge the problem properly. We asked them prior to our first night if it would be noisy and they said they didn't know and yet there are many other comments online complaining about the noise so other guests have obviously complained too. We told them we wanted to check out but they said they would still charge us for the nights we had booked. We travelled with three young children so our holiday was ruined by total lack of sleep. The interior walls must be paper thin as every time a tap was switched on somewhere in the building we could hear it. I hope other people read this and i now highly value the comments on trip advisor. I just wish I had read them before my trip. A lesson learned!

We had reservations for 5 nights, but only stayed for one night! Our room was based on the ground-floor next to the the courtyard, it was pitch dark in that room with only one small window to the courtyard. There was a airco unit in the room, which you could not adjust. It had only one position which was cold, very cold. So, the next morning we left and found another Hotel.
You can park opposite the Hotel in a old barn, but you have to make a appointment the get a space. In the street it self is no parking, also not close by.

This place is DIRTY, STINKY, and had no hot water! We were there for a couple nights and all the once white walls were dirty. The room smelled like mildew and there was NO HOT WATER! We talked to the front desk and they said the floor used up its limit of water for the morning! We waited 1 hour when after we were promised it would be on in 20 minutes minutes, and nothing!

I am all about sweet, cute, and quaint, but clean, and hot water is more important. Pics will be attached soon!

Room Tip: stay somewhere else...lol
