Great price and location but ask for a room that doesn't face the front. There is a bar around the corner that is loud at night. Also there is construction directly across the tiny street that starts at 7:30 am. That isn't their fault but just be prepared. Very nice and helpful but if you are a light sleeper beware.

There are thousands of different hostels in Granada, so it was hard to decide where to stay. We finally chose Pension Martinez simply because of the free parking they promoted. As we had a small car and a limited budget we did not spend the same amount for a carpark than for the accommodation. Pension Martinez was an ok place. We were greeted friendly and the man at the reception showed us on a map the free parking. It turned out that this is an area in Granada where you can park you car on the roadside for free. It is close to the center so we could have chosen every hostel there having the "free parking". Well, we parked our car (it was easy to find a place).

The room itself was really clean and it was cleaned daily with fresh towels. We did not expect this for the prize. The location was good - all the sights within walking distance. At night there was not much noise from the street but from other rooms. We did not sleep very good. All in all, we missed some atmosphere in the hostel. There was nothing to complain and the staff was friendly. But it had a cold, unpersonal atmosphere.

Maria Luisa was great on our arrival providing very useful information and great tips. The pension is cheap and well located. You can walk to Alhambra from there easily. You only have to be careful when trying to find a car park nearby. The lanes in these area are pretty narrow. If you phone the pension they can recommend the best place to park. Free parking is available but very far away.

Service and location are great. Maria Luisa gets out of her way to try to accommodate you. The hotel is walking distance to the center of Granada. It is a good bang for your buck.
