We loved staying here. The room had an excellent view of Alhambra and was easy walking distance to everything. My husband was particularly delighted that there was an ice cream shop right next door. I would definitely recommend and will return next time I am in Granada.

The greatest thing about this was the location, our room think it was 102 had lovely views over the Alhambra, it was a spacious double not sure what the basic doubles would of been like though. It was a really clean boutique hotel, we had no problems whatsoever near everything and also the little bar across the bridge *not the ali baba* was really nice. Another recommendation would be to try and avoid eating outside of the square only because its not great value try looking further away for places to eat. The Alhambra is a must see whilst staying here but if your not fan of uphill walking get the bus which if you ask the receptionist they will tell you where to get it from. All in all lovely stay.

Room Tip: 102 first floor view of Alhambra lovely on the main street but street noise not heard

The location was the best part of Shine Albayzin. It is perfectly situated in the old Arab section, is within walking distance to Alhambra, close to many great tapas bars, the Plaza Nueva. The two bedrooms, while not fancy, were both clean and comfortable and the bathroom was clean and modern. The pullout coach was sufficient for two of our children to sleep on and the other coach was able to accommodate our 8 year old. In spite of the last minute drama on the air conditioning, it worked perfectly during our two night stay.

I didn't think it was clear when booking there were two separate locations and we were not staying in the main one. I might have missed this, but the hotel entrance was far nicer than the entrance of the building where the apartment was. The courtyard had a musty smell and our apartment looked straight across at another apartment and the train wreck that was inside the window. A day before we were set to arrive (driving from Sevilla), I received a note saying the air conditioning was broke in the apartment and they wanted us to say in another location ten minutes away and please get in touch with them ASAP. I sent a note back saying that I specifically booked this place because of the location, they didn't send a picture or location of where they wanted us to stay and weren't clear whether the accommodations were comparable for our party of 7. Ultimately they fixed the A/C, but the way they handled the situation was not up to par. There was no Wifi in the apartment, the only place in our month in Spain (and we stayed in several apartments) not to have wifi. The breakfast for 7.50 euros was overpriced for toast, coffee and yogurt. One is better served walking a few blocks to one of the many eateries. Unlike the apartment we stayed at in Toledo which we couldn't drive to and which the manager Maya provided us with clear directions upon booking, met us where we could drop off our luggage and showed us to the apartment, no such luck. We didn't realize we couldn't drive to the apartment and got stuck in downtown Granada, called the Shine and got confusing instructions (only made somewhat manageable because of a friend of ours who is from Granada and was waiting for us in the lobby) on where to park --- since we couldn't figure it out, we found another lot and parked there.

Room Tip: I have mixed feelings since a lot of folks clearly enjoyed this place. I believe if we stayed in th...

We were very happy with our two night stay. We had booked two rooms. Both had a view of the Alhambra. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect. There was wifi in the room and the lobby. It can be loud due to it being on the street side. Bring ear plugs if you think that may bother you. The rooms were very modern and beautifully designed. It was hard to get to by car. Suggest calling hotel ahead of time to get directions to the parking lot that they have an agreement with and/or take a cab in. It was an easy 20 minute walk to the Alhambra and walking distance to many major sites.

Gorgeous design hotel in the Albayzin neighbourhood. We booked a superior double room which has a small balcony and looks out to the Alhambra. The down side being that it faces on a road (no cars in day time) which many people/ tourists walk along. It got really noisy on a Friday night when we were there making it hard to sleep. Also, the rooms aren't very soundproof.

It's a very comfortable hotel and I commend it for the cleanliness and design feel for the place. Also, the customer service is great. We were served by a very friendly and helpful lady at the reception named Sophia. She went out of her way to help us in whichever way she could when we were running late to pick up our rental car etc.

The suite had a perfect view of the Alhambra from its window, a large, beautiful room and facilities. The mini bar was limited in its stock, but everything else about this place was perfect. Very well located, and always had delicious sweet treats and tea in the foyer. The breakfast was average.

Two adults and one teenage boy in suite. Beautiful old historic building in the Albayzin neighborhood with view of the Alhambra. Well modernized big room while keeping the ambiance of the old building. Friendly, professional and helpful staff. Central location, close to city centre and attractions.

We were taken well care of.

Room Tip: top floors facing the Alhambra
