This was a nice place.
Grafitti, small cafés and noisy neighborhood.. The typical granadino neighborhood. Very safe, very central and a unique place to stay.
Was a bit cold (we stayed there in February), but it was a very nice place for a nice price :)

Tucked down a dark alley in a pretty rough area of Granada this hotel wasn’t quite what we were expecting. Graffiti marred the walls outside and inside the whole place felt like it hadn’t been touched in 30years. Hallways were dangerously unlit – the automatic lights failing to ever turn on. The courtyards, which looked so pretty in the photos, felt rundown and unkempt but even this could be excused and put down to ‘character’ if the rooms had been brilliant. The rooms were not brilliant. Cracks in the paint work, damp on the walls and ceiling not to mention to complete lack of working heating generally made the place feel more like a cell than a hotel room. Convinced that there must be better rooms we asked to be moved and to their credit they did move us though the new room was only marginally better than the first.
This hotel probably was quite nice in the 70’s but now it’s really showing its age. I wanted to love this place I really did, it has so much potential, so much character and history but right now what it needs is some serious love and attention (and of course a substantial amount of money).

nice staying very cheap in the city center of Granada. Spanish Azulejos in all the pension : lovely!
No parking but bargains with a public parking not far (10€/day). Bathroom and bedroom old but pretty clean. Just noisy bed and street with people talking all the night... No breakfast proposed. Bag storage.

The location was good for exploring the city. The room was a good size, bit dark due to lack of view and decor very dated. That said however we found the hostel very peaceful and we slept well. The bathroom was basic and we had to hold the shower head but there was plenty of hot water and we were there to explore the city so it suited us just to have a basic place to crash. There was a bakery down the road so we could buy breakfast and enjoy eating it in the courtyard space.

Like most of Granada the pension was down a small cobbled lane which could be a little intimidating if you are travelling alone but in general suited fine. Easy to reach from airport via airport bus.

We stayed here for only 1 night. For what we paid got what we wanted (a room:). Garden is nice, location is not too bad. Aircon didnt work. Got 2 single beds instead of 1 double bed room, when we booked double bed. Staff was friendly though, but when we came back to get our stuff a 10 year old kid was sitting at the reception, thought that was kinda weird...we needed a key to get our stuff out of the storage room, he didnt speak to us so with my very limited spanish I asked for his dad or someone who is adult.

The first room we were allocated had a hidden step at the door, which I tripped over on the way out and fell badly. The main light had bulbs missing and didn't work anyway. The floor had not been cleaned and the wardrobe looked very grubby. We changed rooms without any problem, the receptionist remarking that the first room was one of the best. The second room was lighter, having two windows and the central light worked. However, the bathroom made me shudder every time I went in there. There was filth caked around the taps and it did not do to peer too closely at the loo! Having said all of this, of course, the main reason for staying was the courtyard and the air of tranquillity. We slept very well indeed. Although no breakfast or bar facilities there was a hot drink vending machine which made a very decent "cortado" and another vending machine which did cold drinks and snacks. Having a fridge in the room was an extra bonus.

Room Tip: Room 204 was light and airy and a good size. Probably a good idea to ask to see the room before taki...

My husband and i (30 years old) are very easy travelers, and like to see the positive, to the places we stay, having said that.. I'll start with the positive: once inside... It is very spanish, nice gardens, decor, it was easy to find, rooms desent size, with private bathroom. Close enough to turist area, and food.
THE BAD:the location, is in within very narrow streets, full of graffity, at night, not many plp, walks by, so gives you a bad feeling, we saw some drunks, sleeping on the sidewalk.
Service: not much info about Granada, out tv had no remote, and we had to ask 3 times before they started looking for one, the room was never clean during our 3 days, ac was very poor, when the temp outside was 44degrees celcius. No wi-fi in our room, only in the garden, our view was a big brick wall, bed sheets look stained. For the price, i'd say ok, but id stay somewhere else next time
