the architecture of the hotel duplicates the architecture of the Alhambra. It has a lovely lobby with windows overlooking the view. In the afternoon, it is relaxing to watch the sunset from the terrace while enjoying a drink.

When we went up to our room, we were very pleased to find that we had the same view as the terrace! At first, we had no hot water. It turned out that we had to let the water run long before the hot water would come out. Actually, the hot water was not plentiful during our stay. My friend washed her hair with cold water on our first day. The free wifi in the room was erratic. We kept logging in hoping that we could hold on to the connection. Some hooks in the bathroom could have been handy. However, our stay at the hotel was generally comfortable. It was worth staying at the hotel for the view.

The hotel is walking distance to the Alhambra. The day we arrived, we got our tickets from the machines outside a gift shop. This is not where the entrance to the Palaces is. Nor the Generalife. You have to go to the `justicia gate. It was nice to have tickets in hand already when we visited the following day.

To go to town, we rode on the bus 30 and 32 which stops right in front of the hotel. This is how we got to the Cathedral and Capilla Real. To go to the Monasterio in Cartuja, we rode on the number 8 bus on Grand Via.

We enjoyed the buffet breakfast which included hot dishes. Also, cava seems to be a standard at good hotels. I do like this, and add orange juice to my cava. It was a generous breakfast and we liked the chorizos with our scrambled eggs.

Altogether, a convenient and lovely hotel.

Room Tip: The best views are from the rooms which are over the terrace.

One word: Just book this hotel when in Granada. Everything is perfect

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view of the city and far from the lifts.

Stayed at the alhambra palace hotel when visiting the alhambra and gardens and have to say the location is fantastic as it is a 5 minute walk from the palace entrance. it is also perched high over the city of granada and the views from the outdoor balcony of the bar are simply stunning.

however despite a 4 star lobby and breakfast, the rooms themselves are only average. sure they were clean and tidy but a bit dated and tired. unfortunately the drains in the bathroom of our room also smelt quite a bit!

staff were also very friendly and helpful - after we checked out, they allowed us to keep our car parked outside the hotel (despite space being at a premium) whilst we spent the day at the palace tour.

So, overall a good value hotel in a great location.

What a gorgeous place and a short walk from the Alhambra. Minibusses and taxi stand right next to hotel entrance, very convenient. Busses cost $1E=$1 U.S. to get anywhere in town and very quick. Hotel staff all spoke good English and were most helpful. Comfy beds and pillows, huge views and great long distance view from small balconies. Not the most convenient place if you want to spend a lot of time in other areas of the city.

Room Tip: ask for high floor, any floor is good

old fashioned hotel with high level of service. a minor hitch (an overflowing drain in the bathroom) was resolved swiftly, efficiently and without fuss.

Car parking outside the front of the hotel. Surprising that hotel of this standard does not include free internet facilities anywhere in the hotel.

Excellent advice from front desk. They recommended a beautiful short walk down into town, followed by St nicholas mirador to watch the sun set over the alhambra, which was STUNNING, and catch the 32 minibus directly back to the hotel (for 1.20euros p.p). An amazing experience.

good breakfast included in our room rate.

We were given panoramic views over granada and the sierra nevada, but not the alhambra.

AlHambra Palace is more than 100 years old. It's atop a hill, well maintained, very very friendly and absolutely convenient for visiting Al Hambra and the Old Town. We liked our stay at the hotel, it has a great terrace restaurant overlooking Granda from top. The breakfast buffet is very good. The rooms are nice, large and well maintained. The room service and the restaurant seemed a bit on the expensive side for dinner for what they were offering.

One tip. The nearest place to buy water or cold drinks will cost you 20 minutes walking round trip to Al Hambra Palace and 45 minutes on the other side down the steep hill to the Town Centre and back up the same (but seemingly even steeper one). If you dont want to spend BIG euros at the hotel buy before you leave from wherever you go sight seeing.

Our most expensive hotel during our tour of spain but the view from the room made it all worth it! Do email the hotel prior to your arrival and request for a high-floor view facing room. Of course, there's no assurance that they will give you this room given that only a very limited number of rooms on a certain floor have balconies with a view but its worth the shot :)

Small room however not really an issue as this is normal across hotels in europe... plus you will most likely be going out most of the time. Bathroom was very nice and the hotel had a very luxurious "old world" feeling as a whole.

Reception also helpful in keeping our luggage after check out if your departure is still late in the afternoon or into the evening.
