“Honeymoon Break”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 April 2013

My husband and I had a fantastic two night stay at the hotel. This was part of our honeymoon.Ideal location if you plan to visit the Alhambra. Staff were great, we emailed in advance to request a room with a view of the city of Granada, this was well worth it. Amazing views, good standard of room, clean and spacious. Excellent WiFi connection. We didn't eat in the hotel, the pre dinner drinks were very good and served in the breathtaking lounge.

Room Tip: Room with a view is a must.

Booked another hotel online - when we arrived it was in a dodgy neighborhood. Drove around the Alhambra and found this gem. A four star hotel. Great amienities and services. Incredible view over the city and walking distance to the Alhambra. Grat terrace for drinks and tapas. A limitless expensive at over €200 a night - but you get what you pay for.

While booking this hotel, we were at first apprehensive of the location, thinking it would perhaps be a bit too far from the city centre. When we got there, we soon realized it was the best location in town! Situated in a quiet residential neighbourhood, 5 min walk from the Alhambra, 10-15min walk from city centre and with fantastic views of the city, it was the best we could have asked for in Granada. You can also easily reach Plaza Nueva, Paseo de los Tristes and Albayzin via a very pleasant walk through the tree lined 'paseos' surrounding the Alhambra. Location aside, the exquisite décor in Moorish style, the veranda overlooking the city and the Sierra Nevada and the helpful but not in your face staff made for a very pleasant stay. The only criticism is the poor bed quality - you could feel the springs as you lied on it. Definitely time for renewal of the mattresses.

Room Tip: Choose a room with city view!

This superb hotel is a wonderful breath of fresh air steeped in fascinating history – my regret is that we couldn’t stay longer… Stunning views across Granada from the vantage of the veranda bar, excellent food impeccably served, again enjoying the most spectacular night view from this mountainside position. Superb bedroom with balcony and awesome outlook. Thoroughly enjoyable stay and will revisit without hesitation.

Room Tip: Balcony room overlooking Granada...

Very close to the Alhambra, which was nice. Although, if I could do it over again, I would stay somewhere down the hill, as one could feel sort of isolated here (you either needed to walk down a long hill to get to the food, or take a cab -- or you were stuck eating at the good, but very expensive, restaurant). Room was nice. We had a nice view, but the window was small. My father in law had a bigger window from his room, which was fantastic. Service was excellent -- folks really went out of their way to help us.

Not much even a grumpy old person such as myself can say bad about this hotel. It is very well placed albeit in a somewhat theme park, with the attendant money grabbers outside of the doors, but an oasis of calm within, despite the wedding, but it was a Saturday. All rooms of excellent quality and fully appointed, but ask for a walk-in shower should you so prefer.
The bar and restaurant are both well stocked and run with ever careful and attendant staff.
We had probably the best dinner this trip here the absolutely fabulous views over the entire Granada city plain below the hotel, and to the snow covered peaks of the Sierra Nevada, watch them go pink at sunset!!
The only gripe here was the flaky free Internet access, and the as ever European breakfast without service, it is so much bloody hard work asking for ones room number it's enough to make a chap weep.
Well of to the med cast again tomorrow destination Mojacar, see you all there!!!

Had two nights away to Granada whilst visiting Spain, very nice Hotel with Amazing views. The only downside was the Spanish do not embrace the facility of tea and coffee making equipment in the rooms, although there was a nice terraced area over looking the City were drinks of all kinds were served (at a price). We were lucky enough to have a birds eye view of the Semana Santa parade from our room.
