The Carlos V Palace was built by the Emperor Carlos V, the grandson of the Catholic Kings. It was a sign that Christianity had conquered the Moors. It is considered one of the most beautiful Renaissance buildings in Spain. Its architecture is very impressive. Inside are the Fine Arts Museum and the Alhambra Museum, both of which are closed on Mondays. The museums hold very interesting exhibitions and are free.
