We visited Alhambra with Chus as a guide.
Everything was perfect: organization (including a change of the time schedule of which we were informed in due time), very sympathic guide, explanations, duration of the visit (no hurry)

It was quite an experience to see the magnificent Alhambra and it is for me extra interesting because I am originally from Iraq and I have known the small and narrow streets .
The only problem a visitor with handicap will certainly face if he is using a wheelchair that the stairs are not accessible for him.

“Tour of Alhambra”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2014

We bought our Tickets online for this trip and it worked out fine. I would like to say first and foremost that our tour guide Isabella was absolutely top notch. She spoke excellent English and was most informative and really knows her stuff and is probably the best guide I have had on a tour like this.
Just a couple of things made me not give this a five star recommendation - the phone number on the tickets when you print them out is incomplete, it says to meet at 10 and says meet by the cafe.

Now getting a number wasn't a problem because this company had fliers in the hotel who were happy to phone them but I'm glad they did because on phoning we were informed to be there 10 minutes earlier than on the ticket and given directions to the cafe which was good because there are at least 2 places that would qualify and this was the cafe that was slightly tucked away behind the ticket office. Actually they should say the little square between the cafe and the gift shop!
That being said the Alhambra is an amazing tour and our guide was superb so I would have to recommend Granada a Pie. I don't think that you would enjoy the Alhambra as much without a guide.
We got a taxi up to the tour - and walked down the lovely leafy walk to the plaza afterwards.
Enjoy!

“Visit to Alhambra”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 December 2013

We were very pleased with our guided tour through the Alhambra complex. Our guide, Maria Jesú, was very didactic and clear in her Spanish. She stopped and let us all 13 people get together before starting an explanation. We were all given a portable headset for listening to her explanations so it was not necessary for us to strive to hear and could move around at a certain distance and take pictures. The Alhambra complex is impressive and I think that it is much better not to take many pictures (There are many pictures on the web) and to concentrate on the views and floor, wall and ceiling details.
No need to take a bus or a van to return as there is a lovely downhill walk towards the Plaza Nueva, among trees and passing under a brick arch.
Make sure you (preferably) take hiking shoes as pavements and trails are made of uneven cobblestone. Or, at least, hard soled urban shoes.
