Although the location is great, the hotel needs updating. The layout of our room was peculiar - very narrow with some older furniture blocking access to the closet. There was paint peeling off the bathtub, and the wooden floor was warped and squeaked at the entrance to the bathroom (not great in the middle of the night when you're trying to be quiet). The pricey breakfast was certainly not worth the money, and they were very pushy about having to reserve at check in. On the plus side, the room was surprisingly quiet given its location. If you do wind up booking here, ask for a room in the back of the hotel.

On of the main advantages of this hotel is it's location. It's situated in the centre of Granada within easy reach to major attractions, shops and restaurants.

The building its an old one, a bit tired in places but charming and manages to transmit a feeling of 1940's Spain.

The room was adequate, it could do with a bit of updating, but I found the facilities to be in general satisfactory. The room wasn't huge but spacious enough, good amount of space in wardrobes, comfortable bed and well stocked minibar, what more can one ask?

I've read in other reviews that it is noisy, maybe I was in a different room but I slept beautifully.

The breakfast consisted of a good selection of pastries, bread, fruit, cereals to suit all tastes.

Their staff were particularly helpful, I lost my boarding pass and they assisted me in printing a new one.

The hotel is on a fantastic location, being close to everything what's interesting to see.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
However... the room (104) was a turn-down. Our bathroom door was rotten ( not exaggerating). The sealing compound around the bathtub is black from mould and smelly..
But worst of all is the fact, that there are no non-smoking rooms (!!!???) available in this hotel. Our room was STINKING from cigarette smoke. It was just disgusting.
Thanks again to the staff who tried to ventilate and do the out-most possible to remedy this situation.
*** classification is definitely OVERRATED!!!

Although this hotel had decent reviews, this is not a place for couples. The room was ridiculously small, I mean sooo small. I'm petite and I couldn't move around the room. For couples they had two twin beds next to each other. We weren't told that. The bathroom was not that clean. The decor was terrible, old furniture, no frills. The hotel is cheap about 64Euros a night. If you are ok with no frills place, then its ok and cheap. If you have slight bit more expectation - then this one is not for you. The wifi was allowed in the lobby for free for 30mins at a time. The hotel offers breakfast - but go outside, it was cheaper to buy breakfast there and more choices. The hotel staff is friendly and its good location for Granada. But we saw there are many other hotels in the heart of Granada.

We were asked if we wanted to have a room on the first floor or on the top floor with a view of the Alhambra. We checked both possibilities but the room on the top floor involves climbing two flights of stairs after the elevator ends, which is not convenient if you have heavy luggages.
We picked a room on the first floor but we regret we did it just because of the noise. We were woke up by loud voices coming from the hall around 5 a.m. We had to call the attention of the receptionist in order to keep sleeping. Other then advice not to pick a room on the first floor, we were happy about all the rest in the hotel and would come back again. The location is an unbeatable starting point to visit the many places of tourist, artistic and cultural interest. Everything (other then Alhambra) is at a walking distance.

We stayed here for 2 nights last week and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's tucked away just off Gran Via up a side street, which looks at first glance that you shouldn't drive up it, but if you follow the instructions the hotel sends you to the letter, you should find it OK. I'd recommend pre booking parking in their own car park, which is on the right side of the narrow street opposite the Irish bar. It's a fun experience going down in the car elevator, but I wouldn't want to be driving anything too big!

Check in was quick and efficient. We were asked if we wanted to have rooms on the top floor, which involves climbing two flights of stairs after the lift ends, and we were glad we agreed. Room 501 has a view of the Alhambra, which is lit up beautifully at night. Both rooms were well appointed and comfortable with good bathrooms.

Breakfast consisted of a good buffet. My friend asked the waitress for bacon and eggs and got bacon but no eggs - he needs to learn some Spanish. Service was excellent and friendly from all the employees we met.

The hotel is situated perfectly for exploring the city. Turn right out of the door and within 5 minutes you are in the Albaicin district with lots of narrow streets full of bars, restaurants and tea houses. The cathedral is on the opposite side of Gran Via and is well worth a visit. We took a taxi to the Alhambra - 6 euros for the 4 of us - or you can catch the bus nearby.

We enjoyed the Bodega Castaneda tapas bar - turn left out of the hotel and then first left again - great tapas and atmosphere, while the Irish bar opposite the hotel served not only great Guinness, as you would expect, but also excellent tapas, rather more surprisingly. Having said that, we were given good tapas in every bar we visited in Granada.

We got a good deal on Laterooms which included breakfast. A trainee receptionist tried to charge us extra for breakfast, so I was glad I had the printout of the booking to show him. I'd go back to this hotel if I visited Granada again.
