Close to the cathedral and on the square. We only had one night here, but if time allowed we would have stayed longer in this fascinating city. We had the best breakfast of any of our stays in Spain. Go up to the top floor balcony for a great view of the city. The room was spacious, but scarcely decorated.

Staff was very accomodating. I had to change my reservation due to schedule mishaps, and I received a friendly email acknowlegment of the date change. One of the desk personnel was not vey friendly, but the two others we met were helpful and friendly.

We took a taxi from the train station, and it was only 5 or 6 euros. We were alerted that the taxi cannot directly bring us to the hotel and it was a short walk away from the main street. The Bib la Rambla Plaza in front of the hotel is a very fun place, with lots of restaurants and a stone's throw away from the Cathedral and Palace. It is also within walking distance to the Alhambra, although many take taxis because of the steep climb.

Our room was on the second floor and we needed to use the small lift to bring our luggage up. Our room faced an abandoned building and we missed out on the views enjoyed by others. The room was clean and the wifi worked. We stayed for one night. I think it was a good value and will definitely recommend it to friends.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a nice view, not one facing the dilapidated building.

Hotel Los Tilos overlooks the Plaza Bib-Rambla, which was a fun, family-friendly place, especially near the end of June when the big Spanish holiday of Corpus Christi is going on -- absolutely amazing! It's steps away from the Granada Cathedral -- we saw an incredible religious parade, complete with a huge, beautiful monstrance decked out with fresh flowers, carried by 36 devoted men -- all struggling and sweating underneath. It was breath-taking. So -- Los Tilos' location can't be beat! It's also right near the Moorish "bazaars," for lack of a better word -- very exotic & fun. Many good restaurants and ice cream (helado) shops ring the plaza
The hotel itself, while it isn't luxury, is very clean and renovations have most definitely taken place in the past few years. (We stayed here 10 years ago -- it was basic then, but much nicer now.) Yes -- the bathrooms are small... welcome to Europe! They're not strange -- we are! We're visiting their country! Our bathroom was small -- but certainly big enough to do all we needed to do there. And it was brand new -- and beautiful!
Also -- the A/C was so nice, especially during siesta and evening. Never had a moment's trouble with it -- and it was needed, as it was very hot & humid.
The price was terrific, considering the location, the breakfast buffet (which is extra -- it wasn't for us, though -- tip -- we booked direct, we paid in cash, and we may have shown them our Rick Steves' book.... we got our breakfasts -- all 6 of them -- free). The front desk attendant was very helpful to us in finding different places we needed to find -- grocery stores, buses, etc.
Also -- on the top floor, there's a viewing deck, and you can see the Alhambra all lit up from there -- magical!
When we visit Granada again -- and I hope it will be soon -- it's my favorite city (so far!) in España -- we'll be staying at Los Tilos.

I stayed here for 1 night and found this small hotel to be a very good value. Located on a quiet plaza with great restauants and just a few steps from the Cathedral. Most sites of interest are an easy walk away. The room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was included and was very good. The staff was friendly and English-speaking. Would definitely go back there on my next trip to Granada.
