“Good old hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 December 2013

This hotel is very well situated, just a street down the Calle Navas (famous for its bars and restaurants), right in the towncenter. The place is clean and the rooms quite outdated but nice and cozy. Negative points; noise levels are very high and the heater was too warm and you could not regulate it.

Great hotel (4 stars) , one of the best options if you want to stay in the city center. Because of the category of the hotel can be a bit expensive, but many times offers and discounts are available. Location can't be best to enjoy the city, almost every point of interest is near.
Rooms are pretty good, comfortable king size bed, 42 inches tv, marble tiled bathroom.
We have to mention cleaning staff, they do their job very well, we even found our pijamas blended on the bed, amazing details guys.
On the other hand, the intimicy of our bath was really inexistent, we don't know why but we heard the people in the next room bathroom as clear as if we were in the same room. And the room itself was a bit noisy because it's oriented to the street and in the 2nd storey so sometimes you could hear noisy people going back from near pubs parties.
The rest of the hotel, decoration, staff, etc... was very nice.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms in high storeys or inside rooms. They usually are more tranquil.

Average describes this hotel very well. Nothing exceeds your expectations!

We stayed only two nights in one if the hotels alleged best rooms/suites on the 6th floor with a view of the Alhambra.

The middle aged men who man receptionist are anything but warm and welcoming and need to rethink their future in hospitality. Gruff is not the right demeanour. Service otherwise was good.

The room is old and dated but seems clean and functional.

The location is really great albeit parking nearby very expensive.

Room Tip: Try another hotel!

The staff was so amazing, friendly and accommodating! I would recommend this place to anyone based on their service alone! The accommodations were quite nice, clean, and the balcony was lovely. The central location is great for a tourist visiting the city.

Room Tip: Try to ask for a balcony- definitely worth it! Although I didn't stay in one- they also offer r...

A very nice hotel located in a excellent central location. Parking close by and within easy access to all attractions and routes. Rooms nice, albeit somewhat tired. Sofa bed in our room was very basic and badly needs updating. Reception very attentive and helpful bar one male member of staff who appeared not wanting to assist guests with brochures etc. Thankfully when we came back later a different lady was on who was very nice and helpful. Very nice breakfast, large selection and very attentive and helpful floor staff.

Hotel ideal to visit Granada as it is in an excellent location. The rooms have the thinnest walls ever and our neighbours seemed to be in the bathroom with us. The installations and cleanliness are alll correct. The staff in the bar and restaurant are very friendly ( thank you Elena) and the female reception staff too. The breakfast is very poor in comparison with other hotels of this category. All in all we found the hotel met our needs and is good for a short stay.

It is the typical Melia Hotel, so clasical, so elegant. The rooms are big and they have everything you need.
The only problem is that the hotel is very big and there are so many clients at a time that you can wait at the reception desk longer that you should.

Room Tip: There are suites which have views over "La Alhambra", but they are very expensive. The key...
