Stayed for two nights to visit Alhambra. Having parking across the street was a real plus as driving in Granada is a nightmare. Triple room was adequate and shower had best water pressure I have ever encountered in Europe. Walked down the hill into town and back.
Staff very helpful and multi lingual.

Thanks to the Canadian family staying in our hotel recently, I really appreciate your good comments, specially about our privileged situation and the convenience for the pleasant walk through the fantastic wood forest of the Alhambra in reaching the historic centre city.

We visited the Allhambra Palace and then needed a place for the night. The hotel is on the street abutting the car park. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was excellent and the staff helpful and spoke English. The hotel is only a short walk to the city or one can take a bus. Highly recommend

The Hotel Guadalupe is only steps away from the entrance to the Alhambre and from a bustop which takes you right into the Albycin and the old part of the City. It is also convenient for visitors with cars. The rooms were nice and the staff pleasant. Definitely a good value for the rates charged. Breakfast, however, was not a good value. The eggs were runny and cold, the bread stale and the meats underdone and/or greasy. Stick to the fruit and cereal even though you're paying for a more bountiful buffet or, even better, eat somewhere else.

This hotel was a good value and close to the Allhambra with easy bus service down into town. Staff helpful and rooms very clean and comfortable. Food was good, although breakfast could have been fresher.

Hotel right by entrance to Alhambra. Not easy to stop outside before parking in Alhambra car park. (Only space for about 3 cars). Staff pleasant and helpful. Easy walk down to town centre (about 20 mins) and buses every 20 mins to bring you back up. Room rather stuffy and air conditioning old, noisy and very feeble so room too hot at night. Only stayed 3 nights, so bearable, but would not want to stay longer in hot weather.

On a coach trip - stayed 2 nights. A bit isolated though bus available outside.
15 mins. downhill to city. Our suburb was a bit run down.
Very close to main attraction - Alhambra.
Evening meal- no choice but we were on a group deal.Plain food and
waiters who wanted to be somewhere else I think

Room Tip: eat somewhere else

Hotel Guadalupe was great!

It is in the perfect spot, adjacent to the Alhambra, the real sight in Grenada, and a short bus ride from downtown. The hotel can get you tickets for the Alhambra even when the Alhambra website says they are none.

We loved room 407, one of two with a terrace. It faced east, so we did not have the afternoon sun beating on it. The room was well furnished and everything worked.

This three star property was as nice as many of the four star hotels we stayed at and better than the three stars.

Every staff person was friendly and helpful. Internet is free and available in the common areas (common in Spain).

We parked in the Alhambra parking lot and received a discount (Parking is about €15 per day.) The Alhambra is a two minute walk from the hotel.

Food in the café is good and reasonable.

The number 30 and 32 buses stop about 100 meters from the hotel and take you downtown to see the Cathedral and other sights. We recommend buying the multiple ride ticket on the bus. As of April, 2011, the cost was €2 for the card plus €5 for 7 rides, and the card is rechargeable, so the next 7 rides cost just €5. The card can be shared, so for a couple, group, or family, it is the only was to go. Just tap the card on the card reader on the bus for each member of your party. Individual segments without the card cost €1.20. The bus driver makes change.

We recommend the Guadalupe to anyone visiting Granada and the Alhambra.

Room Tip: Rooms 407 has a terrace.
