Mostly good this one, and tending positive. Well-priced and certainly value-for-money. Beyond that, it primarily depends on the focus of your visit to Granada.

In my case, it was research on the Alhambra and for this purpose the Guadulupe was spot-on: literally across the road from the monument. On a previous visit, I had stayed downtown, tickets were not available on-line and the story of the whole queueing/viewing experience has made it to many a dinner-time table. So location, if this is your aim, is terrific. You can also easily access the old area of Granada - the Albaycin - either by buses 30 and 31 or simply by entering the Cuestra de los Chinos via Mimbre Restaurant and walking the path over which Boabdil is said to have escaped on horseback. Takes 20 minutes but the cobbles are very hard on the feet...wear comfy shoes.

Room okay: clean, adequate in all respects, and reception very helpful.

It was the restaurant/room service that let this hotel down for me. No tea/coffee in the room once again and difficult to obtain via room service (which appeared to be either multi-functional or stretched), so I ended up ordering it in the bar and taking it up myself. Restaurant a little to the left of arrogant, overpriced with an unloved offering, so most nights I ended up in the Italian restaurant a few doors up the road.

With a smile and/or chef in the restaurant, it could have been so much better.

Hotel bedroom was clean . . . and near the Alhambra's entrance (which, by the way, pre book tickets). The plumbing was noisy i.e. anyone flushing a toilet/washing hands nearby, sounded like Niagra Falls flowing through. Breakfast was basic . . . their ideas of fresh fruit was out the tin or a selection in a basket for you to take/peel/dice. As for the juice . . . in a region that has plenty of oranges . . . very disappointing. And at night when, after a long day you would like a drink, bar was closed (excuse - busy in the restaurant). It is near a car park . . . good if you come by car. If you do stay, when you leave, check the bill.

I am an elderly experienced world traveler who does a lot of research before a trip and who is quite picky but not overly so.
This hotel is modern, clean, comfortable, friendly, and generally flawless, and is across the street from the alhambra, and next to the hotel from which the early morning private guided tours of the alhambra depart (pay the money and reserve one of these tours via the alhambra's web site - SUPER). the breakfast buffet was very good and cheap - for southern spain (8 euro). my single room was the smallest i think i have ever been in, but it was cozy and had lots of amenities and was charming, and on the top floor so had a balcony with a view of an olive grove and the actual alhambra. i think the doubole rooms are a good bit bigger. there is the #30 city bus every few minutes into downtown granada, or you can walk downhill through the park, or over the hill via the fantastic alhambra palace hotel with their spectacular terrace for drinks/snacks. so it's far from downtown location was not the problem i thought it might be. i would stay here again.

Room Tip: get a top floor room near the end of the hall as the noise in the hallways can be heard.

We asked for room 412 (with the terrace overlooking the Alhambra). Fantastic view! In fact the view was so great and having a terrace to enjoyable we chose to ignore a terrible sewer smell that was in the bathroom.(not something we would normally do) Just kept the fan on and kept the door shut. The room was fairly dated and tired but clean.
Parking is in the Alhambra parking lot across the street and worth every penny given that parking is very tricky throughout Spain.Make sure you obtain decent driving directions from the hotel and stay on the ronda sur, following finally the Alhambra signs. Just email the hotel and tell them where you are driving in from.
The staff were very helpful.
The location was fine... a bus stop just across the street to go into town, drops you off just steps from the hotel (Bus # 30) Walking into the town was also manageable, however we did not want to be there late in the evening.
Would recommend it for those wishing to focus on the Alhambra.

Room Tip: Get room 412 if at all possible. The sewer smell might have been caused by the rains that were never...

First time in Granada and this hotel had everything we needed. Clean rooms and right opposite the Alhambra. The staff were very helpful, especially with pre-booking tickets to the Alhambra (pre-booking tix is an absolute must).

About a 15 minute walk into the old town of Granada and about 30 minutes into the Albaicyn (another must do).

Hotel is getting on a bit... but it had everything we needed and did the job.

As others have said, "Location" is a big issue: you're across the street from the ticket stands for the Alhambra, and it's easy as can be to nip over there after dinner to see if there are any tickets for the NIGHT wanderings in the Alhambra (WELL worth the effort!). Runners/walkers: it's a great stepping-off point for running/wandering the Camino de la Silla del Moro, just uphill from the hotel, as the road wanders high over the city among olive tree groves and pines. There's a very pleasant, inexpensive restaurant next door, above a souvenir shop. But it IS a hike to get to and from the flatlands of the city (although Bus #30 can give you respite from the long uphill trudge). The rooms are pleasant and comfortable. It's a 3-star, and you'll have to go uphill to the next hotel to find computers for your use to check email, etc. (1 euro for 15 minutes) It seems to cater to smaller groups and couples, not to bus tours. The lobby is a great place to sit, sip coffee, and people-watch!

As others have said location next to the Alhambra is a big plus and for those driving having parking readily available (at a price) is very important. Furnishings of our room were looking quite dated, however the bathroom was quite nice. The room was cleaned very well. Staff were quite professional and helpful.
Summary: clean, safe, good service in a good location.(bus service to downtown worked quite qwell for us.) For the price a good option for seeing the Alhambra.
