Stayed here for one night, with a group of friends. Easy access for buses to the Alhambra and comfortable walking distance from the Albayzin ( well worth visiting ) and the cathedral ( disappointing. ) Breakfast was excellent and the staff consistently helpful and courteous.

We stayed 3 nights at Hotel Navas late April after visiting Sevilla and Cordoba. One of our goals was the Alhambra. The hotel is really in the very center of the city. Convenient parking in a city garage 100 meters from the hotel door. The hotel is not new,but the staff is very friendly and room are spacious. We had a room facing the backyard which spared us for most of the city noice at night. The street outside the hotel is full of tapas bars so it's a lively area, but that's Spain. The breakfast was good. The price was more or less a bargain compared to Sevilla and Cordoba - but then our stay in the other cities was during Easter week so pricing is accordingly I suppose. We did not get tickets to Alhambra so we advise visitors to purchase prior to the visit. The receptionist guided us to a good Iberia Ham shop so we could bring home a good kilo of it. Granada is a very lively and interesting city - visit it!.

Room Tip: Try to get a room at the back if you are an early bedder.

We were pleased with this hotel. It was cold and wet outside but warm and comfortable inside. Reception staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke excellent English. Very good and central location. We could walk to all sights. Reasonable price and free wifi in room.

Best bed we slept in while we were in Spain! We loved our stay here and would have liked to stay longer but we were only in Granada for one day. I didn't want to leave the comfy bed, but we had tickets for an early start at the Alhambra! Breakfast was great, and staff were welcoming. A lot of people comment on the noise, and when we were allocated level 2 roadside, I was worried! However, as it was Easter we got to view the parade from our balcony, and enjoyed people watching. It might have bothered me if I was there for a relaxing holiday, but we had lots on and we're pretty tired so fell straight asleep. Handy having a drinks machine so we could get water for the day trip, and perfect location for meals. We walked from the train station which was a bit of a push for us in the heat, but do-able if you're determined!

We arrived at this hotel yesterday and the temperature outside was 32c. After a hassle at check in (couldn't find our reservation) we got to our stiflingly hot room to find no air conditioning. Upon enquiry the staff said they don't provide air conditioning until summer. We attempted to open a window but the street is extremely busy. No one slept as the room is at least 30c with no air flow. Meant to be staying another night but will be unwilling to stay in such an uncomfortable place another night.

Dear guest,

First of all thank you for your trust in Hotel Navas to enjoy your stay in Granada.

We regret you felt disappointed about the incident that occurred at the hotel. As you were told at our reception desk, temperature changed drastically the 12th and 13th April reaching up to 30º. However, during the previous week we had a maximum of 18º - 20º, with temperatures around 10 degrees at night, which is a normal standard for this month.

Our system does not support both air conditioning and heating at the same time and it needs a minimum of 2 days to be changed. As cold has not definitely gone yet, we need to wait for at least one more week to make the change.

We are deeply sorry for the inconveniences caused.

To start with make sure you take ear plugs. The hotel is situated on a small alley which houses a large amount of tapas bars and they stay open extremely late. Also the walls are quite thin. However the hotel is positioned ideally for exploring the town, it is a short walk to the Alhambra and Cathedral and all the bars/restaurants/shops you could wish for.

It is also a short walk from the airport bus which I would recommend at only 3 euros each way and lasting 25/30 minutes. The breakfast was simple buffet fare but decent quality and the beds/shower and heating/air con were all pretty good. Reception staff spoke good English as well.
