Stayed 2 nights here in April, taxi dropped us off at the edge of the square and we walked down the cobbled street to get to it. Friendly reception staff, great free wifi in the hotel, rooms were on the small side but had everything you needed. The memory foam mattress was great, certainly enjoyed one of the best sleeps I've ever had in a hotel. Our room had French doors opening on to the little street with it's busy tapas restaurants and bars. Had a great feel to it. Our friend's room had a big terrace with views up to the Alhambra with table and chairs, that was great. We didn't have breakfast here, never looked busy I have to say. We went to a great little place around the corner, wish I could remember the name, did great churros! There was also a good supermarket just beyond that. This hotel is in a great location and it is such good value. We paid around £60 a night for 2. We will definitely be returning to Granada, loved it. And would return to this hotel without a doubt.

We stayed here during Semanta Santa with family members and were very happy. Our room was larger than the hotel room we had in Madrid, and the bed with memory foam was quite comfortable. Even though Granada was very crowded, the staff did their best to make sure we could find dinner reservations and informed us about various processions. They were terrific. One concern we had was the Wifi. None of us could get a good connection in our rooms although the connection was good in the lobby. Yes, the hair dryer in the bathroom is the old sort. Breakfast was good. The location of the hotel is very convenient to everything, and I would recommend this hotel even with the shortcomings I mentioned. There was some construction going on next door, which started around 8 am.

The location of this hotel is great and wifi works wonderfully however the walls are paper thin so you hear all the noise of your neighbors. Bathrooms are small and the room smelled horridly of smoke even though it's non smokers. The staff is nice but we wouldn't stay here again!

We found Hotel Dauro to be a great hotel for the price. The room was quite small, but we didn't mind. It was clean and comfortable, and the room had a huge balcony which was a bonus! We found it was also close enough to walk to all major sights. The best part of the hotel was the staff. We found them extremely accommodating. I forgot a pair of earrings in my hotel room (after checking out and already on the train to Madrid). The staff was kind enough to look for the earrings in the hotel room and ship them to our hotel in Madrid. Very much appreciated!

We really enjoyed our stay at The Hotel Dauro. Due to suggestions from other Trip Advisor reports I had requested Room 401 and my request was granted. When we checked in and while we were there I was told that it was “The Best room in the house”. They said I probably already knew that as I had requested it. It is a really good sized room with a huge balcony. The hotel isn’t fancy or new but we didn’t expect it to be and really enjoyed it. The room was clean and the bed, with a memory foam mattress I think, was the most comfortable we slept in while in Spain. We had absolutely no problem with the wifi. It worked fine.
The hotel is maybe a ten to fifteen minute walk to the main square where you catch the buses which suited us. The streets were very noisy on the weekend but our room at the back of the hotel was very quiet. There are a number of good restaurants very near the hotel. On the street behind the hotel to the right there are many and all are priced very reasonably.
Breakfast at Hotel Dauro certainly wasn’t the main event with limited choices as numerous other guests have outlined but it was certainly enough to start our day. The desk staff were always helpful with whatever we needed. We also appreciated the valet parking. We stopped out front of the hotel and the car was whisked away to the garage to be returned at our request when we ready to leave. A very pleasant two night stay. We would definitely choose this hotel again if we return.

Room Tip: I gather 401 is the best room in the house and at the back where it is quiet.

The hotel feels cheap and outdated. We got a small room with street view. Dust bunnies around on the floor, hard beds and an old-fashioned wall-mounted hairdryer that requires you to keep the button pressed. Worst of all: the airco was mounted straight above the bed and -although it suggests having 3 steps- can only be switched off or to full power. Keeping it off is too hot to sleep, switching it on to loud and the cold airstream straight onto the bed can't be good for health. Opening a window was not an option as night-life crowd continues until 5AM and traffic gets busy from 7. We've asked for another room but the hotel was fully booked.
We would not stay here again. Ever.

Room Tip: Take a different hotel.

We arrived in Granada by coach from Seville at the bus station, so we had to catch a No 3 or 33 service bus (every 5-8 minutes) into town, getting off about 20 minutes later at a stop just across the road from our hotel. Checking in took just a few minutes, and then we were off to explore Granada with the useful map they provided.

Our room was a 2nd floor "end of corridor" room with the bedroom having a window facing the street and another on the side passage. A small sitting room faced the side passage, and the bathroom was enclosed. One annoyance was that 2 ceiling-mounted TVs switched themselves on every time we came into the room (and put our door card into the holder to switch on the power). They were plugged into the ceiling, but I managed to unplug the most annoying one and turn the sound right down on the other (so we could at least find the remote control and turn it off quickly without getting a blast of sound).

There was a "quiet" communal room part way down the stairs which had a kettle and teabags (etc.), but we never found it with any water in, so had to resort to filling a used water bottle in the room and then filling the kettle from that. Even so it was still very pleasant to sit there and have a quiet bedtime drink.

Our room was reasonably quiet given the window onto the main street, but one night a very noisy street cleaning machine woke us up. The (pushed together) twin beds had memory foam on top and were comfortable once you had sunk into it. The wireless Internet connection was useful, but a trifle slow.

Breakfast was a buffet with a rather limited choice (1 or 2 types of bun, 1 type of cheese, 2 types of meat, only plain yoghurt.) and no whole fresh fruit (e.g. apples) but was very pleasant with good tea/coffee/ orange juice.

We enjoyed our 3 day stay and would return as the central location balanced out the noise.
