This is a must see in Granada. It's like a different world. It has some amazing views of the Alhambra especially at night. it has great tapas bars and restaurants dotted about it. Just wear comfy flat shoes as it hills :)

We had high expectations but were disappointed. Some atmosphere to tthe area but not nothing special. Lots of dog mess on pavements. It was very hot

The Albaicin is a historic district of Granada near to the City Centre. Its winding narrow streets relate to its Medieval Moorish past. A great walk up a steep Hill but with fabulous views over to the Alhambra with the Sierra nevada behind when you reach the Mirador (viewing point) de San Nicolas at the top after wandering past small churches and pretty squares where it seems you have gone back in time. The stroll back downthe hill is easier. There is an interesting street full of Moroccan traders selling all manner of interesting stuff that is well worth a visit when in this area

If you go there at night, you will have a great experience walking through the narrow streets, admiring the Carmen houses and the beautiful night view of Alhambra.
This is one of the oldest places in Granada and a really charming area to wonder in.

It is the Arab part of Granada. When you arrive there you feel like you are not in an European town. You feel like you enter a magic gate and you suddenly are in an Arab town.
