If you have a chance to stay in this neighborhood-you should. The small plazas and tapas restaurants are a delight. St. Nicolas is a bit overrated.

We rented an Airbnb in Albayzin with a breathtaking view of Alhambra. You can see the Alhambra and the Sierras throughout this hillside neighborhood. If you stay on the north or east portion, it is a bit of a hike to tapas bars, restaurants, and shops, but worth it to enjoy walking along the scenic, narrow, cobblestone and brick alleys and walkways.

Travelled by C32 bus and managed to guess the right place to get off to climb the last flight of steps to the viewing balcony. The pretty garden just beyond it belonging to the mosque, was less crowded and quieter, with the same spectacular view. Walking around the streets exploring, we came across bars/patio with tables, so enjoyed some wine and free tapas in the sunshine, just to use their loos really! Descended the steep cobbled pathways back to Granada- a little scary, but I read that the bus down could have been scary too!

In Albyzin you find the most rare architect from the ancient era. We were very impressed by the street tareen, every stone was payed with accurstion. The buildings built at that time, are in such a good and solid state as these are built few years ago. By the way, one never get lost because of the link between all these streets. A tremendous experience enjoyed a lot. Visit is surely worth exploring

As we couldn't get tickets to Alhambra in time, we couldn't visit it but instead of the mighty palace , we walked around the hillside opposite. It was worth doing so! Beautiful buildings, lovely and narrow little streets, beautiful views! We loved it a lot!

It is great to stroll down the narrow streets of this part of the city. Very colourful and various shops and bars.

Very picturesque and bursting with history of Moorish times. Unfortunately it was a rainy day but other than that we really enjoyed.

I went in the evening it was very atmospheric.. lots to see..
Flamenco street dancing ..street musicians ..abundance of shops bars places to wander in and out of..
Very relaxed atmosphere ..great experience.
Along the river walk you can see the Alhambra palace beautifully lite up.

watch out !! for the motor cyclists as you walk along the cobble streets..

A must to visit situated opposite to the Alhambra. Tea rooms, Moorish shops and a maze of narrow winding streets steadily rising. There are amazing views of the Alhambra from the top. Easy to get lost but all part of the fun
