“Interesting Street”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 February 2012

The Carrera del Darro is the street that is on the left bank of the River Darro. It is a narrow street, but there are many things to see, especially the Alhambra as seen from below. One of the important buildings houses the Archaeological Museum of Granada, which is worth seeing. There are many buildings from the 16th and 17th centuries. There is a little park and lookout point at the end called the Paseo de los Tristes. You can look up to the Alhambra and there are several cafeterias there where you can take refreshment.

“Narrow street with great view of Alhambra”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 January 2012

Very narrow and busy street. Be aware of people and cars. But you get side view of Alhambra here.

“Romantic lovers walk in Grenada”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 December 2008

Carrera del Darro is a lovely, scenic place to stroll, maybe stop for a picture along the ancient walls and churches and former Mosques made into churches. Th "river" Darro is really more of a stream now, but it's clean and meanders along the bottom of what was once a wide canal. There are some key sites along this walk: the Archeological Museum, the baths, and a convent where it's possible to purchase sweets made by the nuns.
