I was very disappointed with the service and room. This is not a five stars hotel.
The hotel lobby and patio are beautiful. This is just an amazing old palace. That does not make this place a five stars hotel.
Service is not at all at the expected level for a five stars hotel.
Some of the staff is really extremely doing its best but unfortunately it is only a few. At reception, the reception manager was not up to what you would expect: Very unperfectly dressed, speaking mouth full, offering me to leave if I was not please with poor service.
Room was far from neat. Not clean, there was dust everywhere and paint was crackled over the room due to humidity apparently. The same humidity leading to a bad smell.
I have asked to be called by the manager. She never called me.
I have spent a two weeks in Spain in 5 stars and I have had very good experience.
In this hotel, the building is used as the marketing advantage.
I would recommend you go and visit this hotel and even have a drink but why staying here? There is no point.
Clearly I would not recommend this hotel to anyone even being gold member @marriott has not made service better for us.
Very expensive and most disappointing stay for me, in Spain, over two weeks across Andalusia.

Dear Gl0be_Tr0tter_14

Thank you for letting us know about your stay. It is a real pity that you look so annoyed with your experience.

We do not use to discuss this kind of matters on line, through social media, but talking or writing directly with our guest. By now, once you have left your free opinion about your stay in Tripadvisor we will also assert in the same free way that things are not at all as you are telling them, however, as said before, we can discuss this matter directly since you rejected to talk on Friday afternoon and eveni ng with The GM, she was waiting for you and you were advised about this by phone, however, you decided to leave without saying anything.

In any case, thank you for your opinion, it helps us to improve and do not hesitate to contact us directly in case you have any additional comment.

Thank you and Regards

Lovely hotel with excellent staff. We had been driving all day and were a little tired. we pulled up to the hotel and before we could stop the car, the luggage was out of the boot and the concierge was saying he would park the car for us. By the time we had checked in, the luggage was in our room. slick service, and really felt like they wanted to help us. The check in girl was very helpful about where to go, what to see and how long it would take us to get to the Alhambra.
Our room was spacious, very clean, and quiet, despite the fact that it overlooked the main street. windows were double glazed with shutters and curtains. it was a gorgeous room. Breakfast in the morning was in the courtyard, very stylish and we had a delicious Spanish breakfast. I couldn't fault this hotel.

The AC Palacio de Santa Paula is in an old monastery in the heart of Grenada city center and walking distance to the cathedral, the Albacin, shopping and dining areas and other sites. My room was a nice size with a view over the cathedral. The restaurant has a lovely patio and great breakfast buffet. I highly recommend this hotel.

I'll be honest, not the best of 5 star hotels I have stayed in, the rooms, sevice and food are decent, not outstanding, but where it misses out on luxury hotel elements, it makes up in the history and beauty of the building. The most beautiful courtyard and terraces, one could sit there for hours and just imagine how the building may have felt centuries ago.

The location is superb with the old area in close walking distance, plenty of restaurants and historical places. A walk to cathedral close by at night is a must with street musicians making the most of the acoustics in the middle of the mesmerising buildings.

I will definitely stay here again and perhaps try the premium rooms next time.

Beautiful hotel with fantastic interior courtyard. Rooms are well equipped and comfortable. Service is friendly and helpful. They were able to get me onto an Alhambra tour last-minute, when I couldn't find anything available on my own, as I was here during peak of high season and hadn't booked in advance. They essentially saved my trip. Imagine leaving Granada without seeing the Alhambra!
