good location. walking distance to most. great ice cream across the road.

rooms are full of character with very high ceilings. Dont expect flat screen tv's or valet doormen but, its a very good hotel for the money ( the beds are a bit uncomfortable)

We recently spent two lovely nights at this hotel and enjoyed our stay. The staff was wonderful! They not only parked our car in the garage, but took it out for us as well. This was a treat, since parking garages can be challenging. They made nice recommendations for dining and were helpful (with a smile) with all requests. The room was sufficient, clean and we had a balcony view over the plaza, which was quite fun! Location could not be beat. I would recommend this hotel for the price, location and friendly staff.

Great location, alking distance to Alhambra, the old town, etc. Not noisy if room doesn't face the main square. Very clean, confy beds (hard), nice bathroom. Little fridge in the room was a big plus. Did not have breakfast in the hotel, but there are many options in the area.

The hotel was in a great location, walking distance from e rything you'd want to see in Granada.room was small but adequate, with a clean bathroom.staff were helpful except for one-the middle aged man who appeared to work the morning/afternoon shift on weekdays.not very helpful,so much so that we made a point of only asking questions in the evening to the other staff.same staff also was unclear if breakfast was part of the room.best to avoid their recommended cafe for breakfast as there are better and cheaper places around.
Other than that, the hotel was a good base despite the noise at night.

Hotel is in a great location for visiting all sites. It does get noisy after dark as this is in the plaza which is the most frequented by people dining, lots of friendly dogs and just enjoying the alhambra at a close distance. Woud recommend the hotel but keep in mind the noise. The hotel has a great staff which were most accomodating even when it began to rain. The up side, free internet in the lobby. All sites within walking distance, keep in mind everything is uphill, wear your good walking shoes. Nice little tapas bars close by and the sites are great.

This is a very clean and centrally located hotel. Spacious room. Location is close to the cathedral and bars and restaurants. Taxi stand and bus stop 30 seconds from the door. Downside of the location is it gets noisy at night and if your room faces the street you will probably hear some partying into the early morning hours.

Not without its quirks. Must put down 10 euro deposit to get a remote control for the tv. Must request a key for the safe at the front desk. Must leave key at front desk when you go out. But if you're shopping in this price range, these things probably won't bother you too much. It's a very functional, no frills hotel. Friendly staff that spoke good english.

I stayed at the Plaza Nueva at the end of August 2009 for 2 nights and I found the hotel fantastic. The staff were very helpful, and the hotel is located in the centre of everything! You can walk to all the attractions of Granada - Alhambra and Albaicin - easily. There are plenty of great tapas restaurants and bars nearby, as well as the main shopping streets of Granada. For the price you can't beat the location!
The hotel itself is basic, but nice...there isn't a lot of luxuries here. However, there is everything you need, and the hotel is very clean! For the price, I wouldn't stay anywhere else! Considering hotels that are twice the price or more are less than a 5 minute walk away, why pay more...spend it on a night out instead!
The only negative I have to say is the directions to the hotel when driving, they are VERY confusing! However, when I did find Plaza Nueva after about a half hour of being lost (Granada has very narrow streets and many one-ways in the old town)! The reception staff came outside and even helped me park the car! Great service! By the way the car stayed in the garage the whole time! So if you can avoid driving here, do so, you won't need a car for anything!
Overall, I would definitely recommend this place! Great little hotel for a bargain price
