This is a good hotel to choose as a base for your Granada visit - right on the busy Plaza Nueva, and a short walk up the hill to the Alhambra Palace complex. It's well-positioned for the bars and restaurants on the central streets & squares of the Old Town.

The rooms I used were light & airy, with traditional-style furnishings & high-ceilings. We had a great view up to the Palace on the ridge above. The breakfast room offers good food, and dinner can also be booked at the restaurant.

We were there for Semana Santa and everything was happening around us! Hotel is average, but needs a electronics upgrade for the rooms. In the room we found it hard to move about the room, as they put too many pieces for furniture for the room & they had THE WORST MATTRESS that we had slept on in many years!

Thanks for your comments.
The hotel is immersed in a process of changing mattresses and linens.
They are also restructuring the rooms to make them more comfortable.
We continue working to enjoy the best experience.
Thanks and regards

Location is great and very centrally. Walking distance to many attractions and surrounded by restaurants, shops and cafes. Taxis available 24 hours in front of the Plaza Nueva. Hotel is simple, no frills but clean and practical.

We chose this hotel as it was in the centre of Granada, within walking distance of the Alhambra Palace and other old city experiences. A very good choice indeed. Walk out of the hotel and one is in the perfect spot to begin exploring Granada in any direction. Great room of good size. Extremely helpful staff including the owners who are right there when you need them. Arriving at the hotel in our car was a very bad experience though. Coming into Plaza Nueva there was nowhere to stop even though we could see the hotel on our left. Ended up looping around the town on very narrow, pedestrian-filled streets for nearly an hour. Got back to Plaza Nueva and parked on the kerb up a side street (‘Alta’) next to the hotel. A member of staff came and got in our car to direct us to the secure parking about 200m from the hotel: again driving down little lanes that seemed like they should be pedestrian only. If coming by car and intending to use the hotel’s parking – do park somewhere and call them when you are within about 700m of the destination. The hotel got us tickets in advance for the Alhambra (good idea). Be careful if you visit the Alhambra having booked tickets in advance. At the ticket desk they insisted we produce the credit card that was used to purchase the original tickets online. I definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Granada city. Thank you Hotel Plaza Nueva.

Room Tip: With busy late-evening night life right outside, and the desire to keep windows open for some real airflow - noise is inevidable.

Great location to get to the Alhambra which is a 10 to 15 minute up hill walk away. You are right next to the Muslim quarter of restaurants and souvenir shops. The rooms are adequate and the water pressure for the shower is good as well as the hot water
