Like most reviewers, agree excellent all around. Only caveat is on getting there by car ... while there is free parking, it is on a deep incline. Also, driving to the actual hotel is a bit of nightmare, on a narrow street, just avoiding running over hordes of tourists. It's doable, but something to be aware of. I would still stay there again if in Granada as a tourist, but it's good to be aware of what you are dealing with. The good news is once you park, everything is within walking distance so you don't have to drive again till you leave.

This was a fantastic place to stay. A beautiful internal courtyard. Clean rooms well appointed. Breakfast was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking available which is essential in Granada. Great position not far from most things. I would stay again with no hesitation.

The Casa Morisca is a wonderful hotel. It is full of charm - like a reinvented Moorish house. The central courtyard is lovely. The room is a good size, full of character and immaculately clean. The staff spoke very good English and were very, very helpful and friendly. The hotel is located in the old Moorish section of Granada, so is surrounded by dozens of charming little alleys and narrow streets. There is free wi-fi in every room. The breakfast selection was small, but perfectly adequate. Unusually for me, there is nothing I could fault with this hotel - I cannot recommend it highly enough as the place to stay when you are in Granada.

Just back from a 3 night stay - wish it had been longer. We had a patio room ( internal view only) and before arriving I was a little concerned that we might be disappointed. Far from it. The room was quite small but very comfortable and well equipped and the view to the courtyard was lovely. The hotel is beautiful and very much like a Morrocan riad, cool and serene from the moment you step through the huge wooden door. The staff were friendly and gave great recommendations for places to eat and even booked bus tickets for us.
There's a bus stop a few minutes away so it's easy to get to the Alhambra, the Plaza Nueva is a short stroll along a quiet road beside the river and there are plenty of restaurants within easy reach.

Only thing we didn't like about this hotel was leaving. We had two rooms - an interior double for parents and a larger exterior double with an extra bed for three kids (21, 18 and 10). Staff was exceptionally helpful and welcoming. Hotel was beautifully restored. Rooms comfortable. The breakfast is served in a delightful stone area- sort of like a wine cellar but bright. Food is plentiful and delicious. At 9 euros, little pricey but worth it. There is a nice covered patio area where we brought our picnic lunch one day.
We were there for two nights, and for a longer stay the interior double would have felt small and closed in but it was comfortable for sleeping (and in our case we could also hang out as a family in the larger exterior room.) If both are available, spend the little extra to get the lighter exterior room.
Location is ideal. In the Albaizin, so has the charm and interest of the old town but only a half block off the main street and a Plaza with good restaurants - enjoy the outdoor seating directly beneath the Alhambra. Walk 20 minutes down this street to historical center of town (Cathedral, etc.) Catch the minibus from the Plaza (1.20 euros - gets you anywhere in a continual loop). Walk or take minibus up to Saint Nicholas Mirador for the most spectacular views.
Rick Steves says some consider Albaizin sketchy. We always felt totally safe and never encountered any shady characters. Perhaps further into the area but not near this hotel.
Great value. Highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Room 10 on outside had nice views (partial of Alhambra) #7 on inside was pleasant but dark. only a s...
