“Super location, nice place”
Reviewed 1 May 2014

We stayed here two nights and enjoyed the location, the ambiance and the lovely breakfast in the "cave." The rooms are small but well appointed, although like many places in Europe, not really set up for travellers wanting separate beds (which end up being twins pushed together.) In fact, my friend had specifically requested separate beds when she reserved in February, but that request had not been noted; the staff found a different, although less desirable room (as the hotel was at that point full.) The front desk staff were friendly and helpful.
Free parking is available, which was a bonus, although we would have been fine without a car.

We stayed in this hotel in a visit to Alhambra. The location is great allowing you to walk to the cathedral and old town area as well as up to the Alhambra. Be sure to get directions if you are driving to be able to find the hotel. It is located via driving on pedestrian streets. The area right outside the hotel along the river is full of small places to eat and very popular.

This place is unique, an impeccably restored casa-palacio in the heart of historic Granada. Rooms are full of old world charm, bathrooms are beautiful, and staff are extremely helpful with lots of personal attention. From the hotel door you are in the heart of the Albaicin in seconds and an ancient pedestrian path takes you straight up to the Alhambra in ten minutes. No better address in Granada. Be sure to look at the before and after photos of the award-winning restoration.

When exploring Alhambra & Generalife and other ancient sites are in your itinerary, then this place is unrivalled.
Built in the 1400's this is such a delightful rustic place to stay.
The layout is magnificent with a courtyard and splendid touches in every corner from the carpets, treasure boxes, mosaic tiles and furniture from yesteryears.
The amenities are modern and in tip top condition.
The hotel is really clean.
One can feel that the owner and management put a lot of heart and soul into the place.
The service is also fantastic! It was like having your personal tour guide! They made sure all transport were confirmed so that our already pre-arranged tickets to Alhambra & Generalife. They helped us reserve out tickets for Flamenco shows and ensure that every time we go out we have a map with us.
The finishing touches of fluffy towels with the hotel's monogramme and excellent toiletries are icing on the cake!
Certainly a great choice!

I agree thoroughly with all the positive comments. We even stayed an extra night. We had a beautiful room with fantastic views of both the Alhambra and St Nicholas Church. The inner courtyards. water features, lighting and side rooms allowed for a lovely, relaxing atmosphere. It was just a short walk to all the main attractions and restaurants and literally opposite the Alhambra Palace! Staff at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful and told us that the hotel would be a terrific location for skiing in the Sierra Nevada as there is public transport from Granada to the slopes. We are planning a return visit and looking forward to it...

Great hotel - well worth studying the restoration information in the lounge area to see the amount of work that has been done. Comfy bedroom, small bathroom, all very clean. Friendly service, and a fabulous front door!
We didn't sample the €12 breakfast, opting for a €3.50 juice, toast and coffee in a nearby bar, but the vaulted cellar where breakfast is served was atmospheric. There is a small walled patio at the rear as well. Would definitely stay again!

We loved our stay here though honestly it was just a too quick overnight. Excellent location once you find it. Easy walking around the best parts of Granada, including an uphill walk to the Alhambra, which if you are able, is completely worth it.

Our friends stayed in the only suite in the Casa Morisca, at it was beautiful. This is a very small hotel, but you can tell it is kept up with tremendous pride.

I felt our room was a little expensive for what we got, but otherwise it was great.
